I’ve been a 9er fan for a long long time, but this year things for me have changed a bit. To see Smith finally get the breaks he deserved (a decent O-line, decent coaching, etc…) and then see the coach bench him when he’s having such a great year is heartbreaking for him. Kap is good, don’t get me wrong, but I would have much rather seen Smith finish out this year and finish what he started, rather than letting Kap go in to reap the rewards of Smith’s hard work.
Not trying to be mean, but I think we’ll see a loss in Kap’s first playoff game. Then it’ll be fun to see what everyone says then. A little flash and people are all over it. They didn’t like the “game manager” even though Smith had awesome stats this year. We will wish Alex was back in when we lose our first game in the playoffs. But at least we’ll get to see a little excitement in Kap running around really fast, throwing long passes (and picks), but smiling big and everyone patting him on the back the whole time.
Blah. Can’t wait for next season.

Kaepernick did looked great this week. But i don’t believe he has truly been challenged by a top ranked defense yet. These are the pass defense rankings of the teams hes play; MIA 26th, NO 31st, NE 29th. His best game in my opinion came against the 6th ranked Bears. when he throw two TD’s. Two weeks later he had a very poor performance against a surprising 9th ranked St, Louis team. When he could manage to get one to the end zone in a game that they defiantly should have won. We’ll see this week when he plays the 3rd ranked passing defence in SEA. Who holds their opponents to the just 197.6 YPG. and just 15.6 points tied for 1st with the niners themselves. Honestly though I don’t think we’re gonna see the ball in the air much with those two teams. Its gonna be ground and pound clinic between to of the best power backs in the league. With very few points score.

Oh yeah……GO HAWKS!!!

CK7 has ice in his veins. The velocity and accuracy he puts on the ball while rolling to the left is incredible. This guy has freakish talent.

I love how all the doubters this year have been and continue to be proven wrong. “Packers will bring the 49ers back down to earth.” “Saints going to run it up on SF.” “Pats gunna show Niners what real champs play like.” “Can’t wait to see Harbaugh make excuses for missing the playoffs.” Etc. etc. etc.

Yet the 49ers continue to press forward, proving people wrong every single week. It’s glorious.

What does Trent Dilfer and Tom Jackson think of this accomplishment? They both have beat up JH and CK even though he is clearly a better QB than Alex. I have struggled as a Niner fan for the past 7 years watching Alex not be able to make throws like the td to Delanie Walker and just because he plays Trent Dilferisk football last year everyone is outraged he was benched. Alex is a below average QB. We all agree to that because there isn’t anyone that can’t name 16 – 18 other QB’s that are better without argument.

I’m a Pats fan and I liked CK coming out of the draft. Would have been nice for the Pats to have snagged him as a developmental guy maybe to take over down the road, but they got Mallett instead. Besides CK’s talent, he seems like BB’s type of QB, smart, great teammate, coachable.

The kid was very calm and very efficient in a big spot Sunday night. Those two things are two qualities that helped Pats fans see how special TB could become when we first watched him in the 01 season.

Congrats to CK, he is a lot of fun to watch, except against my team!

Kirk Cousins should have gotten this award. Kirk’s stats were way better. 26-37 for 329 yards 2 TD’s

kap looks good. first game where he had good game management. no delay penalty. crappy weather with botched snap. he looks look. go to work more with Vernon and chemistry and niners will be a force for a years to come.

Congrats to him, but hopefully the comparisons of this kid to Brady will stop soon. Brady had some bad games and a few comebacks in 2001, plus he took over in the 2nd game of that season. He also outdeuled Peyton Manning TWICE in a four week span that season. Brady also took over a team that won 5 games in 2000. With Drew Bledsoe. So they really came out of nowhere that season.

Kaepernick had been playing spordically until Week 10, and he started his first game in November. His teams have had the lead or the defense has made plays to put him the 49ers in scoring territory. Plus he’s taking over a team that was a muffed punt away froma possible SB berth.

Like Kaepernick but he’s still a young QB and he will struggle in the playoffs.

You’re missing the point.. I think he was trying to say that Smith has been the starter for 7 years and so far only 1 award.. CK7 did it in his 4th game.
