Most of these guys are backups. The Eagles already have the rest signed to multi year deals. The only question now is do we want them?

Well I agree that that have been spending money freely. But you have no clue what you are talking about. They have been excellent at managing the cap the last decade. And they still have plenty of cap room. So the comment about money later is completely untrue. That is what they do best as far as setting themselves up for the future (almost to a fault)

Landri and Dorenbos are the only guys on that list I would definitely want them to re-sign. Neither one will cost that much.

As for the rest of them, I would proceed with caution which seems to be exactly what they are doing.

I’m beginning to think the Maclin / Jackson combo doesn’t really work. They are too similar. It’s hard having two small receivers on the field at the same time. The Eagles need a bigger receiver on their roster. A slightly better, faster version of Jason Avant.

I would resign all of them except King Dunlap,the rest of the players are reliable back ups and DRC has not done too bad.

I guess Lurie is tired of throwing tens of millions of dollars at names, then watching the Reid regime coach them down to fit his “style”. When you think about it, not many “big” FA pickups have worked out for the Eagles. TO, Kearse, Samuel, Rodgers-Cromartie, Spikes, Vick, Asomugha, Babin, VY, Darren Howard, Jenkins. I guess they can point to Runyan and Peters, though Peters is nothing special.
