The Seattle Seahawks released back up tight end Evan Moore and promoted tight end Sean McGrath from the practice squad to their 53-man roster.

After surprisingly deciding to part ways with Kellen Winslow Jr. at the conclusion of training camp, the Seahawks signed Moore on Sept. 3. Moore had been released by the Cleveland Browns during final cuts.

Despite playing in every game for Seattle this season, Moore had been on the field for just 104 of the team’s 934 offensive snaps (11-percent). He recorded just one catch for six yards in 14 games with the Seahawks. He served as the team’s third option at tight end behind Zach Miller and Anthony McCoy.

McGrath spent training camp with the Seahawks before being released during final cuts. He has spent most of the season on the team’s practice squad. McGrath was an undrafted rookie out of Division II Henderson State University.

Seattle signed linebacker Kyle Knox to the practice squad to fill the hole opened by McGrath’s promotion. Knox also spent training camp with the Seahawks.
