Vick has more than a few flaws. If you choose not to see the obvious, so be it.

He’s had 32 turnovers in his last 22 starts. He’s turned the ball over almost 170 times in his career & thrown & run for around 155 TD’s. He’s clearly had more turnovers than scores. By example McNabb had, 263 TD’s Passing & rushing & 212 fumbles & INT’s. You see the difference yet?

He wasn’t “great” in 2010, he had a couple of great games. He’s had many more brutal showings as an Eagle than “great” showings. His int against GB in the 2010 postseason was typical Vick. As he ages he’s getting more & more prone to the rogue throw ala Brett Favre. He had 2 coaches fired in Atlanta & Andy is next for believing in him. He’s just a disappointing player that no longer has the unlimited ceiling as once thought. His failure to progress & tendency to be injury prone (he only played all 16 games once, 2006) makes him a huge risk for any other coaches.

As for a SB, lol. Vick will never win a Super Bowl unless he is a B/U, he cannot read blitzes or defenses. He turns the ball over too much to ever succeed in the post season. All the signs are there that he’s been a mediocre QB at best throughout his career, but feel free to continue to blindly support him. He’ll just keep disappointing you. His window has closed, he’s going to be an NFL footnote in another year or two.

First off yes Vick has flaws. Every QB has at least 1 or 2. But you idiots thinking Vick is such a horrible QB need to get off the hate band-wagon and open your eyes a little bit. Vick was great throughout 2010 minus about 2-3 games. 2011 he actually would of had 4000 yards passing and 1000 yards rushing in the same year had he not got hurt and missed those 3-4 games. This year he started off with many turnovers and many clutch game winning drives then cooled off into a steady pace of not turning it over as much but not winning either. Overall the losses that the Eagles had this year with Vick in the lineup were hardly because of Vick. OL, defense, and playcalling I think are all much more to blame than Vick.

I actually think if Vick goes to either a playoff contender or a team that’s close to being a playoff contender than you will def see Vick contending for a SB. Just wait and see… Depending on who the next QB is of the Eagles and how well he does… The Eagles just might regret letting Vick go…

I think LeSean hit this right on the head. If there are 5-8 coaches who are better than Reid then it would stand to reason that Andy would have several NFC Championship game appearances on his résumé and no Super Bowl titles. Being better than 24-27 other coaches will generally get you playoff appearances but no titles. That’s exactly what he’s done, beat bad teams and then lose to better teams that are more well coached come playoff time. When those other 5-8 coaches have teams that are still playing.

We appreciate Reid and everything he has done for this city and he will ALWAYS be remembered. He is a very respectable guy and it is extremely heartbreaking that he will probably be leaving on such a sour note. It’s not his fault the players have been turning the ball over and missing tackles game after game after game. They have showed us numerous times what they are capable of doing on the field and when they underperform, we get angry. Surely there have been some questionable moves made by Reid but that comes with every coach and team. There is nothing but passion that comes from philadelphia so don’t get it twisted you other football “fans” we are far from negative and hostile.

Reid’s teams have continually been ill-prepared for big games. Reid calls too many passes and doesn’t run the ball enough. Reid was clever masking the horrible abilities of Donovan McNubb, but Reid is the head coach and his teams have never delivered when it mattered most. You can blame this on the turf in the stadium, the air the players breath, or the fact that Donovan ate too much Chunky soup. The fact remains that this team has constantly under-delivered when it mattered. On the surface he may have an impressive “playoff” record, but in the end, his teams choked consistently. While this team may not have the Tony Romo factor of failing when it matters most, we cannot dismiss Reid for his part in allowing CONSISTENT FAILURE to be his shining achievement. His teams consistently started slowly, rose up and got into the playoffs, and then were only marginally more able to win games than the current Atlanta Falcons which has one of the worst coaches in the NFL when it comes to preparing his team for the playoffs.

Yeah, Andy is the reason and he needs to go – unless you accept gaudy regular season numbers and underwhelming and meaningless playoff performances.

Washington & 2nd miracle in the Meadowlands. Other than that, he been pedestrian at best. McNabb was head & shoulders better than Michael Vick. Randall was too.

Vick had Shady, he had Jackson & the line was pretty much just as bad as Foles has had to deal with. But here is the difference: Vick never audibles his receivers, Vick cannot read defenses & Vick cannot pre-snap read a blitz. He’s a failed experiment. Vick’s whole Eagle career is based upon 2 games. I love how the Vick supporters constantly leave out or ignore how he’s had 32 turnovers in his last 22 games.

Vick is a coach killer & he will never win in the playoffs. You have to be able to read blitzes & defenses in the playoffs & not turn the ball over. The pass he threw against GB in the playoffs that ended the game was a bad pass. He’s famous for them. He’ll never change his game & he’ll always come up short.

Reid was great long ago and that helped his résumé, But the coaches in the Afro mentioned list have either one championships or get more out of the talent that they are given. Likely that talent is not great.

Reids not going anywhere. The QBs the issue. Since McNabbs decline they havnt had one thats as good as he was in his prime. You wont find a better coach out on the market.

Andy Reid is a great coach and the best one the Eagles have ever had.If Jeffrey Lurie is smart he’ll keep Reid as head coach ,bring Juan Castillo back as O-Line coach and go hire a great defensive coordinator to fix the defense. This team reminds me of the Houston Texans before they hired Wade Phillips to run the defense .Wade fixed the defense and they could win the Super Bowl this year.

I agree that Reid needs a change of scenery. In Philly he’ll always be judged by the best teams he has had in Philly. Give him a shot at a rebuilding job somewhere else where he wasn’t held responsible for the team’s current state, but can be credited for its future success. With the death of his son and the baggage with fans he just needs a new place where hopefully his career will have another successful phase.

Its players not plays. They will fire Reid but they will also go a long time before they find a better coach. I think Reid should just leave. He isn’t appreciated, the fan base is far from appreciative of anything and the talent isn’t there to build on. They are old and tried to many quick fixes.

Unless the Eagles have a specific target in mind who has accomplished more than Reid, it doesn’t make sense to throw the baby out with the bath water. They don’t really have a QB of the future, and play in a very competitive decision. The Eagles could be just spinning their wheels after they fire Reid, and if they need an example they should look no further than Jeff Fisher. The

Reid AND Vick take too much blame. But we like to take the easy, fun route rather than actually think. Vick is a good QB and I thought we’d all gotten past that silly “glorified RB” garbage. He showed what he could do with a team that was reasonably working with him and not against him. Sorry but no QB in the league minus maybe Peyton could do anything with that sad sack offensive line. If you don’t got the o-line, you got nothin’. That’s the nature of football. Reid takes too much blame but at least he deserves a good portion, too. Vick takes an avalanche of blame and deserves hardly any. He was one of the few out there trying his ass off, getting lit up and kept trying to be a good leader.
