Jones was an interior line pass rush specialist. Talk about a specialized specialist. How many teams have a dedicated dime-package DT anyway? All he ever did was run stunts and delayed twists. Ever. EVER.

That’s the kind of move that’s effective once, then the OL knows to look for it and you’re just one more guy not getting any push.

Jason Jones is a decent lineman. He isn’t fast enough for DE and not strong enough for DT. On 3rd downs he wouldn’t get the push up the middle at times which hurt both Clemons and Irvin who are getting it from the outside. I think its terrible scheme to only rush 3 people on 3rd and long every time. Like to see them keep Mebane in for 3rd down, he has been having a great year.
