Even if the Seahawks should win, the rubber match comes in the playoffs if they make it to playing SF again and that game will be the one that matters and it’ll be played at Candlestick. So this is not anywhere close to being the game of the year nor really matters that much one way or the other.

I expect a close game with Seattle winning at home. Dallas could get knocked out by the Saints; should be close. Giants should beat a Ravens team in disarray. Vikings could give Texans a hard time, but I’d still go with Houston. Steelers in a tight one over Cincy. Let the games begin!

Do you mean that “gimmicky” stuff like throwing 4 20+ yard bread basket throw touchdowns in front of a national audience in sleet/rain. THAT gimmicky stuff? Or is it the two 50+ yard runs he’s ripped off or the 61mph (!!) fastball he tossed to Crabtree??? Let’s just think about that statement.

I really do not get in any manner how that is some sort of slam. It makes no sense. If you’re going to make a joke on a guy’s name……..there has to be some content that makes sense. “Hairbough” is what a 2nd grader does while putting the magnets together on the fridge. It’s cute but makes no sense one way or the other.

Seattle hung tough in SF but the Niners offense is much more dynamic now than it was then too. Love the guy that said the Niners need all their players because they’re going up against a team just as good. Last I looked the Seahawks had fewer wins, and the only reason they have a shot at the division title is because of the worst call in NFL history.

Justin Smith better play because I don’t want to hear any excuses when the Hawks take down the 49ers. I think they are a good team, a bunch of bandwagon, no knowledge fans – I barely remember any Go Niners talk when you were in the basement of the NFC West.

I think this game comes down to the kickers, and if I was a 49ers fan I would be nervous about that. Akers is a little shaky right not. But being from Philly and watching him every week during most of hi career I know he is money in big games. This game should be a classic. I don’t care if you are a 49ers or Seahawks fan you know this may be the best game of the year.
