APWith a major snowstorm hitting Wisconsin on Thursday, the Packers need to remove the stuff from their stadium in advance of Sunday’s game against the Titans.
And so one-day workers will gather on Friday to swing a shovel for $10 per hour.
Interested parties age 15 or older should report to the Mills Fleet Farm Gate on Lambeau Field’s west side at 8:00 a.m. local time.
The last time the Packers put together an ad-hoc snow removal force, the end result was a loss to the Giants in the playoffs.

Most money they’ll make all year…
This happens every time it snows before a game. You’d probably like it better if no one could shovel out except union workers from a large corporation @ quadruple the cost.
Hhhhheeey Rube!
Love it, good people.

Keep up the hate, ViQueen lover.
Wisconsin Department of Corrections probably has some candidates who will do it for an even more chintzy wage than $10 an hour.
I’m a fan of a different team, but I really enjoy stories such as this one. The comradery amongst the Packer faithful is impressive.
Too bad the snowstorm didn’t hit this Sunday!
At least Lambeau is designed to have snow in it. It doesn’t take a roof collapse on a dump of a stadium to bring it in. How much was Zygi paying to shovel the snow out of there a couple years ago?
Why don’t they get their shareholders that aren’t really shareholders to shovel the snow?
It’s the price include meeting some of the players?
It’s funny seeing comments from Viking fans…I remember 2 years ago when the Queens played the Bears at TCF Bank Stadium, all the squirrels who were ALL over that…helping them shovel out the stadium.
They would shovel it out for free.
Send some of that snow to the ATL
Best paying job in Green Bay!
I kid, I kid.
If my dad ran the stadium it would be like $1.50/ a head
$10 an hour to shovel
$12 an hour to park

It isnt hard to meet players in Green Bay. The players are always putting on charity events and the like. You might even run into some guys at the local bars and restraunts. Maybe even at the grocery store. Packers players arent afraid to meet fans. That is the “family atmosphere” you hear about from guys who have played in Green Bay, and that is why they have a die hard fan base there.
Anyone who puts people down for doing the shoveling are complete idiots. What is wrong with shoveling snow out of Lambeau? Like someone else said, most of these people would do it for free. Instead, they get 10 bucks an hour. Maybe some of these folks need a few extra bucks? Anyway, it is good to see people working and supporting their small market team.
Non Packer fans just don’t get it. Being a Packers fan literally is a way of Life.
Vikingbill, your team is terrible the only player on your team that’s worth anything is A.P. & the Pack still beat the Vikes & will again 12/30/12 at the big inflateable Toilet that the Metrodome is.

or, maybe it’s just a small town.
It’s easy to meet Boston players too there’s certain bars players from all the diff sports go to u just gotta know where to go I’m sure it’s the same in most of the othe cities too
Who wouldn’t want a little extra money at this time of year. Helping the Pack, getting some exercise… it’s an all-around good deal.
Let all the idiots who paid $250 for a piece of paper saying they own part of the team do it!
Sore loser Viking fans – gotta love it!
how can any actual football fan hate on a story like this ?
Blue Collar – loyal fans going out and shoveling snow out of their team’s stadium.
I think this is great. Besides, I was one of of the fans to shovel out the bank and it was loads of fun.
Alot of bitter little Viking fans out there….
Green Bay, where football is a total fun experience.
