Jaguars activate Daryl Smith from IR

Well, at least they didn’t wait until it was too late.

The Jaguars activated linebacker Daryl Smith Saturday, bringing him back from the injured reserve/designated for return list, according to Ryan O’Halloran of the Florida Times-Union.

Smith had missed the first 14 games with a groin injury, and made it back for the final two games for the 2-12 Jaguars.

To make room for him on the roster, they placed safety Dwight Lowery on injured reserve.

Smith is the Jaguars’ franchise leader in tackles, but will be a free agent in March. This gives him a jump start on proving whether he has an value to the Jags, or another team.

Greatness….This guy is by far the best LB that the rest of the NFL doesn’t know.

He does make a difference. He makes a MAJOR difference.
