Packers add Barclay to injury report with illness

With Bryan Bulaga injured, the Packers have had to improvise at right tackle.  Most recently, undrafted rookie Don Barclay has emerged as the preferred option, starting in the last two games.

They may need to look elsewhere on Sunday against the Titans.

The Packers have announced that Barclay has been added to the injury report with an illness.   He is questionable for Sunday.

If Barclay, who played college football at West Virginia (and, yeah, I’m more likely to mention where a guy went to college when he went to West Virginia), can’t play, the Packers may have to slide T.J. Lang to right tackle, push Evan Dietrich-Smith to left guard, and keep Jeff Saturday at center.

  1. What it is with the ‘illness’ thing. Starting to sound like a virus or something is in the locker room or training room. Sure has been a lot of non football injuries on this team of late.
Just yesterday the Pack announced Saturday was benched so they had no clue Barklay would be ill and that was yesterday.
I don’t know about this team and their trainig staff. conditioning program.

My niece has some princess bandaids packers can borrow…so.

That’s cool does she have the $20,000 or whatever the fine is, to help pay for not reporting something like that.

That’s what this is all aboot.

  3. What a little girl. Just like the entire packer team. This has to make legendary packers of the past roll over in their grave that a professional football player would wear that uniform and use this excuse. Be a man you loser!

Pretty weak effort here. By saying the Packers are “little girls,” you’re saying that “little girls” are better than your team.

Then again, if you’re a Vikings, Bears, or Lions fan, I have no doubt that lining a bunch of 8 year old girls up against your team would result in your team losing by 5 or 6 touchdowns.

  5. Always can count on some comments about how soft the Packers are, and always wonder what that says about all the teams they’ve beaten with so many players missing.
