APThe records are falling, both obvious and obscure.
Vikings kicker Blair Walsh has punctuated his rookie campaign with an all-time record. With a 56-yard field goal, Walsh has set a new NFL record with his ninth make from 50 or more yards.
Walsh previously shared the mark with Morten Andersen and Jason Hanson.
Now all Walsh needs is a good nickname. Jim Souhan of the Minneapolis Star Tribune has embarked on an effort to upgrade “The Blair Walsh Project.”
Our suggestion would be “The Walshing Machine.”

More importantly, the Vikings lead the Texans, 10-3.

Anyone who kicks at least half of their field goals in a dome should have a (*) next to their record.
His 56-yarder had about 15 yards to spare too. The Blair Walsh Project has been a huge upgrade over Ryan Shortwell.
That draft pick isn’t looking so terrible now, is it Vikes fans?
Hey rayguyreturns, you obviously have an interest in kicking in the NFL, so it should behoove you to know that a quarter of the stadiums in the NFL are indoor, with 2 of them in the NFC North. Hard to avoid. Stop diminishing someone’s achievement because someone doesn’t play a game the way YOU think it should be played.
