Panthers up at halftime in chippy game

Luke Kuechly, Terrelle Pryor AP

The Panthers are up 14-3 at halftime on the Raiders, in a game that’s only getting uglier.

Cam Newton’s thrown for a touchdown and run for one, and the Raiders can’t get anything going with Matt Leinart at quarterback.

Carson Palmer was knocked out earlier after a shot to the back from Panthers defensive end Greg Hardy. X-rays were negative, but Palmer didn’t return to the game.

The game has devolved into a fight, with scrapping after at least one play per series, evidence of the frustration that comes from teams with nine combined wins in December.

Raiders have not one but two USC quarterbacks? Yeah, that’s something about which to be proud. No wonder the Raiders are losers.

Matt Leinart. How the mighty have fallen.

Cam is a cry baby. Get ready to give some money to charity.

Kicking TK and then getting in the face of Boger.

Way to show that class, Cam
