Members of the Giants talked a lot about how the team waits to flip the switch until the last possible second this week.
That moment is drawing closer by the second. The Giants trail the Ravens 14-0 with 4:24 left in the first quarter of a game they need to win to remain in control of their playoff destiny. The defense was gashed by 44 rushing yards en route to a six-yard Torrey Smith touchdown catch to open the scoring and then cornerback Corey Webster found himself in bad position on a 43-yard catch by Smith that put the Ravens on the Giants’ one a short time later. Joe Flacco scored on a quarterback sneak to extend the Baltimore lead.
The Giants have gained two yards on their first two possessions, both of which were three-and-outs. Eli Manning as missed on all three of his passes thus far as the Giants seem to be late arriving for their Week 16 date.
