Getty ImagesThere’s still time left, but perhaps not enough to change the outcome.
The Vikings have scored another touchdown, culminating a 10-play, 64-yard drive. The run from Toby Gerhart pushed the lead to 17, with the Vikings up 23-6.
Less than five minutes remain for what would be a highly unlikely comeback — especially since the Texans would have to quadruple their current scoring output to win.
If the Texans pull it off, they’ll have to do without running back Arian Foster, who is in the locker room. The official designation is that he is ill.
Most Texans fans can currently relate.

Wow. My worst-case scenario: the Texans lose and Adrian Peterson does not go off. This sucks. I’m predicting one and done for the Texans in the playoffs.
Lovie. looks like the Vikings just cost you your job.
I can only really watch as a fan, I hope kubiack sees that this offense is lacking, and they have one offensive touchdown in two games.
A well-played game by the Vikings. Congrats.
The Texans chose lose the game but sell out to stop Adrian Peterson from getting the rushing record. Mission accomplished, you stopped AD but may have cost yourselves home field advantage and a Super Bowl.
The Texans should consider firing Gary Kubiak. He is too conservative in big games. Wade Phillips saved his job last season and the Texans offense has not been explosive since Kyle Shanahan left. If Bob McNair will not fire Kubiak then he should hire Norv Turner to be the offensive coordinator and let Norv call the plays on gameday. Today was pathetic. Kubiak calls the same 15 plays every week and he thinks it is a good drive if he uses up 5 minutes of game clock for a field goal. Houston, we have a problem named Gary Kubiak.
I agree … But did the vikes sellout to stop JJ.Watt cuz he was kinda quite Foster was super shut down with 15yds
Foster was sick, he had an irregular heartbeat.
It is not hard to stop the Texans offense when Gary Kubiak calls the same 15 to 20 plays every game.
