The Vikings have already said that running back Adrian Peterson will play through any abdominal problems this week and cornerback Antoine Winfield is also going to try to power through injury.
Winfield hurt his hand in Sunday’s victory over the Texans, but was able to finish the game before heading for an MRI on Monday. That test revealed a fracture, although it isn’t severe enough to knock Winfield out of the lineup. Coach Leslie Frazier said, via 1500ESPN.com, that Winfield would attempt to play while wearing a soft cast on the injured hand.
Winfield’s turned in a strong season for the Vikings and the Packers like to throw the ball, which would make his presence a big plus for Minnesota in Week 17.
A win against Green Bay would secure the Vikings a playoff spot, so it’s no surprise that it will be all hands on deck against the Packers. Even the fractured ones.
