The Bungles haven’t been respected since Paul Brown passed away. Their historical regular season record is well below .500.

I can guess that their ENVIOUS loser fans want to kick a formerly great team down on their luck in recent years because in a division that they share with the Ravens & Steelers (both of whom have won Super Bowls in the last dozen years) the Bungles are an afterthought who haven’t even sniffed championship glory.

Leinart throws like a girl.If you’re going to tell me he gives you the best chance to win and not start snickering you’re a fool.Pryor isn’t the next great QB but he can scramble and run.Might as well see what he can do its not as if this game determines if we go to the playoffs.

This really is a non issue. If not for JaMarcus Russell, Matt Leinart would easily be the biggest 1st round bust in the last 10 years!

He was on back to back National Championship teams that won 1. He won the Heisman and has done absolutely nothing since. The NFL is too fast for him, he has no mobility and his throwing motion is slow and deliberate which NFL DB’s jump all over.

How can Pryor not be ready? Has Dennis Allen even watched his offense this year? At least Pryor can “get” away. Your offense is nothing short of horrible by NFL standards. The players you have can’t run the scheme you installed. Play calling is non existent.

I’d have more respect for Dennis Allen if he just told the truth instead of insulting peoples intelligence with the absurd comments he continues to make.

I’m hoping the 2013 Raider QB isn’t even on the current roster. Palmer has good numbers, but he’s prone to throwing bone-headed interceptions at the worst times. Even the Giants and Cowboys have a hard time overcoming those interceptions when Eli Manning and Tony Romo throw them and they are much better teams. Leinert certainly isn’t the answer and it’s obvious the coaches aren’t comfortable with Pryor. So let’s hope McKenzie can find some QBs in the draft or free agency.

The hit against Palmer that took him out was clean and did not deserve a penalty. The ref’s are automatically throwing flags whenever a QB or WR goes down or drops a ball. This is getting really old, really quick.

i personally would start Pryor. is he great, dont think so, BUT Palmer’s hurt and we know what Leinart is and i dont see him winning for this team. now if Palmer were healthy, there’s no question, but here there is because Leinart is a career backup who’s arm isnt really great and Pryor’s an unknown.

It’s not all Palmer’s fault, this team just can not keep their key players healthy, it is really young and lacks depth on both sides of the ball. Leinhart knows this offense better than Palmer. I think you play them both. At least you will know if your backup can perform for next season, and see if Pryor can show anything. Nothing to lose with this lost season.

Let’s get a few things clear:
The Bengals have been to the playoffs 4 times since 05. The Raiders?
The Bengals took a first and second round draft pick from the Raiders for a player who no longer started for the Bengals(reason why does not matter). Logically, the Bengals gave up nothing for two high draft picks.
Those two draft picks have set the Raiders rebuilding efforts back at least three years, not to mention saddleing them with an aging QB who, while putting up meaningless stats, has a bad tendency to throw back-breaking interceptions (we Bengal fans called them Palmer-ceptions). And who does not win.
And, while Ickey Woods did have his career ended via a knee injury, Bo Jackson’s career was ended by a hip injury he sustained while playing, you guessed it, the Bengals.
The Bengals have a history of fouling up the Raiders. I understand your anger. I also think it is hilarious.

Palmer was always a very talented QB that put up good numbers. Too bad he is a crappy leader. Dalton does not have the same amount of physical talent as Palmer but he is a better QB. I’m not a Palmer hater, I don’t blame him for quitting. But there is something poetic about him going to a playoff bound team and continuing his big numbers/loosing ways.
They need to play Pryor and hope he can put up a trade bait type performance. If nothing else.

Not much dog in this hunt, but I’d point out that a good QB season is usually when the TD:INT ratio is greater than 2:1. Palmer didn’t meet this standard.

No, he has barely played this year, due to injury. He will probably be a starter for years to come along with the high 2nd round pick we will be getting from Jokeland this draft.

Calling Palmer “4-11″ is like blaming the passengers for Titanic hitting the iceberg. The guy has played his guts out (almost literally!), and hasn’t complained. Did Oakland overpay for him? Sure, probably, but how is that HIS fault?

One of the few things the Raiders have going through them as they enter the rebuild they lacked the firepower for last year is knowing they have a solid veteran QB to help.

That said, this has to be Pryor’s one real shot to show he was worth the pick they surrendered for him. And for God’s sake, Oakland, put Leinart out of everyone’s misery. No one needs to see THAT.
