Also, I don’t hate New York. I rooted for the Giants when they won the big games in 2008 and 2012. They were my second favorite team in the NFC East. But the way that this was handled – with an advocating for crippling sanctions against his division rivals – and ONLY against his division rivals – stinks. And everyone here, whether or not they’ll admit it publicly, knows it stinks.

I feel bad for Giants fans, who I think are decent folks. I also like most of the Giants players. But I hope Mara in particular enjoys watching the two teams he tried to cripple playing for the division championship that he wasn’t able to prevent them from getting.

What was the vote you talk about among the owners? How many owners were involved? And if it was a wide-scale vote among owners, why did the Redskins and Cowboys only find out about it the day before the draft??

I think Osi might be right…I think ties will be cut with him and Kenny Phillips…Players like Bradshaw, Tuck, Diehl, Boley, Prince and Blackburn need to become situational players…Lets cut dead weight with Beckum, Sash, Paysinger, Tracy, Jernigan and Barden…If Wilson can’t learn how to block then make him full time KR and move on…And I think for once, Reese needs to stop taking best available and start fillng some holes!

So I guess that means Brown is your primary ball-carrier? Do we think he’s shown he can carry the load all season? I’m not so sure. As for Prince, to me he’s shown he can be a very competent corner. Now, if you want to get rid of Webster I’d be all for it, but a guy who will be in his third (really second) season after being a first round pick? C’mon. And since Osi I’d obviously gone and Tuck is not the guy he used to be, Tracy, along with Ojomo should get a chance at serious run. As far as the draft goes, yes we NEED o-linemen and a CB.

Terrell Thomas has to go too… Giants can’t keep passing on good available cover corners hoping TT will make it through camp this time. I agree Kenny Phillips may be out of a job – Stevie Brown is the first legit ball hawk for NYG since Jason Sehorn. With Osi gone, move Kiwi back to DE in the regular rotation, along with Ojomo. Give Jacquian Williams the starting job as TE-cover LB. If there’s a stud right tackle in the draft, let him challenge Diehl and Locklear for the job. After Nicks, Cruz, and Hixon, the Giants could use a veteran WR as the 4th man because the kids aren’t getting it done.

Oh, come on. Do you seriously believe that there is nothing that seems amiss when a team owner takes a leading role in dishing out severe punishments, out of all the teams in the league, to two teams which just happen to be in his division, which just happen to account for a quarter of his team’s yearly schedule? And nothing amiss about the fact that he wanted to do more than fine his division peers $36 million bucks but that he wanted to take away draft picks? During the year that the NFL draft featured the best crop of quarterbacks in three decades? For breaking an “unwritten” rule during an uncapped year?

Even if there was no sinister motive in Mara’s motive, a person would have to be in serious denial to suggest that it didn’t appear that there could have been.

Like its pointed out, this year’s Giants are pretty much just as good as last year’s team…..only this year things haven’t broken as well for them.

They are an aging team (relatively speaking, and their FO is good enough that they won’t be afraid to take one step back to get 2 steps forward. There could be some quality vets from this Giants team available to teams looking for that one critical part to be a contender.

Also, prior to the season teams were advised not to use the uncapped year to take advantage of the system.

The Giants are a traditional football team and show more respect then most. Pre-game and post game trash talk happens on every team. You quite often see the Giants giving the other teams credit.

Say they’re lucky and that they sucked, but I would say two super bowl victories in five years shows you’re wrong. You don’t just get lucky and beat the Packers, Niners, and Patriots.
