Name another player who said he didn’t want to play if he didn’t get the role he wanted – I can only think of one in the last 20 years – Albert Hainsworth. Not even the biggest prima-dona jerk wide receivers pull that nonsense. They play where they’re told.

After telling us all countless times what a great teammate he is, Tebow turns out to be a total phoney, more selfish than T.O. or Randy Moss.

Not some supposed anonymous leak from the Jets. Give me a break.

You are assuming that Rex knows what he is doing, I am not saying the Tebow was the answer, but using Ryans decision as definative proof is faulty reasoning.

Only two teams showed interest in Tebow this offseason in a league that’s desperate for QB talent. I may be missing something but I don’t see an outcry from Jets players for Tebow to start. Yeah Tebow may not practice well but you have to practice well to be an NFL QB. Everybody on the team has to be in synch and practice is for everyone. Face it, Tebow is not an NFL calibre QB.

I bet Tebow tried pulling this stunt in New England, Belichick would have shown him the door by now.

The Jets coaches never wanted him. Perhaps they could have made Woody Johnson and Mike Tannenbaum aware of this fact before they decided to pick him up only to sell jerseys and tickets. Perhaps they could have told Tebow before they signed him that they only signed him to sell tickets, that they had no intention of ever letting him play QB.

The way the Jets have treated Tebow is reprenhensible. I don’t care how bad he looks in practice. Let him play in a game. Show it to me and I’ll shut up. Until then, all he’s ever done is win. The way the Jets coaches have treated him, the way the Jets players have badmouthed him behind his back is childish and disgraceful.

Tim Tebow doesn’t have a right to be upset It’s been reported many times he doesn’t practice well.

So he went 7-4 as a starter last season and won a playoff game. Let’s not forget though the breaks that had to bounce for a lot of those wins. Let’s also not forget that the Broncos lost their last 3 games of the regular season and still took a weak AFC West at 8-8.

If Tebow was deserving of a starting qb job he would have earned it. Look at the same Denver team with Manning, about to lock up a first round bye, Decker and Thomas are having career years. Broncos look like a complete team now and the only thing that changed was qb, hell even Knoshown Moreno is looking and running better now in Denver.

Tebow should be thankful he’s even getting a shot in the NFL as a qb, there have been other college qb’s who ran option offense in college and never even sniffed the NFL as a qb or the NFL at all.

Your making the wrong comparison. Nobody is comparing Tebow to Manning….they are comparing Tebow to Sanchez.

Also, I hear Sanchez practiced pretty well. So theory is kind of out the window since he was terrible once the games started.

To get on the field as QB, TT needs to recognize the fact that what he does in practice has to improve.

By this logic….Mark Sanchez would have looked awesome in practice and then folded like a cheap tent when the pressure of a game started. Some guys practice well and others don’t…..obviously, this theory isn’t a one size fits all.

The larger problem is that there is an entire fan base (Jets fans) that will never know what Tebow could have done if he was given a chance….or even used properly in some type of hybrid role.
