Thanks for the fact check, but the game was over at 35-13 early in the 4th. And yes, they were playing against a prevent d from that point on, and did a nice job tightening it, but still never had the ball w/ a chance to tie or take the lead since 7-3 early in the 2nd quarter.

Not saying game 2 won’t be close, but the idea that game 1 was nip/tuck is absurd.

Actually the score was 35-21 with 10 minutes left. They went for it exactly once on 4th down the entire game. 4th and 3 from the Deadskins’ 11, and they did score a TD on the play. Nobody plays prevent from the 11 yard line. And there’s no substitute for actually watching the game.

Cam did not make the playoffs. RG3 will….as simple as that. Skins fans have been saying for years on this site that the team was not that bad…just needed a QB. Now we finally have one. That’s the only true difference. In earlier years the defense was even better than it is now….just that Campbell, Brunell and McNabb weren’t good QB’s.

All the Redskin fans praise Bob Griffin as the new savior of the NFL. But another big reason for the success is Alfred Morris. Humble, hard working and just beast. A RB that is in a position to set the franchise single season rushing record helps a lot more than just a new QB who will not be top 10 in yards or TDs.

RG gets all the praise, but Morris is a huge piece of the puzzle that had been missing the past few years.

I would say Morris has had a more “Rookie of Year” impact than Griffin. But he will not get votes because he stays out of the spotlight. I would not trade Eli for RG, but would trade Bradshaw and Wilson for Morris any day.

RG3′s potential is nowhere near Cam Newtons. Cam can take those hits and run for his entire career, also he can throw the deep ball better than RG3. The true difference now is that RG3s team has a much better roster than the panthers.

He said it after the Giants game. They interviewed him after the game on MNF and he told Steve Young (regarding the fumble/TD): “It happened that way because God is on OUR side”. You can google it, or go through the postgame interview archives. He regularly says in interviews things like “God is looking after us”. Where else do you think the term “God’s Team” came from?

He also said during the same interview, in a week the NYG defenders praised him and were very respectful: “I knew that there is no way they could stop ME”…not very humble or crediting to his teammates. I have never heard such brashness from Tom Brady, Eli, Peyton, Roethlisberger, Rodgers or any of the Super Bowl winning QBs in the league.

The man is an incredible, bright, gifted QB with an even brighter future ahead of him, if he stays healthy, and I am sure he will. But, that statement and others from him have been pretty smug and/or immature.

And I am not bitter, the Giants haven’t played well the last 6 weeks and do not deserve to be in the playoffs unless a few other teams choke. Even then, they probably do not belong this year.

If God wants anyone to win, it is Tebow, and that obviously isn’t working out so great. At least Tebow “thanks god” after a game, he doesn’t tell people that god wants him to win. What makes RG more “god worthy” than anyone else? Will it be God’s fault if the Redskins do not win the Super Bowl?
