Great response! It’s true, other than 1984ish and 2005 we haven’t had too much to get excited about! The idea that we might have a legitimately great quarterback for years to come gets us long suffering Seahawks fans downright giddy!!! So excuse us if we lose track of reality here and there…most of us mean well!

The Seahawks have a very strong veteran locker room with great team leaders. I know that the Falcons have the same thing, but maybe Edwards got too comfortable in there hearing the same messages everyday. This is a low risk chance that the Seahawks can afford to make. The Falcons are on the hook for most of his salary anyway. Like the saying goes: ” in Pete we trust”

You must not have been watching Wilson earlier in the year. While he’s played great recently, he had several poor games earlier in the year.

Now that you’ve jumped on the Seahawks bandwagon, you should go watch video recaps of Wilson’s games against Arizona in week 1 (QB rating of 65), St. Louis in week 4 (0 TDs, 3 INTs, QB rating of 45), and San Francisco week 7 (QB rating of 38).

OK, the dominating defenses all year part may have been a bit of an exaggeration but it’s just been a long time since us Seahawk fans have had a dynamic QB to get excited about. Definitely not a bandwagon fan, Hawks have been my team since I’ve been in diapers.

Oh yeah I’m sure the 13-2 Falcons are sitting there everyday, “Man why did we let Edwards go?”

Edwards isnt playing because there are 200 better DEs in fron of him in the NFL.

After all the brilliant moves, draft picks, etc, I still find it mind boggling that people doubt John Schneider and Pete Carrols’ talent evaluation.

Sure, yeah…traded for Charlie Whitehurst. Signed Matt Flynn (pointlessly as it turns out). Braylon Edwards…he was there for five minutes, yeah?

Now, I’m not saying that they haven’t done a great job in Seattle, but don’t go getting pompous and ignorant of the fact that they’ve had less to lose in many senses and some gambles have paid off with players that were slightly radioactive (Marshawn Lynch was damaged goods after Buffalo – though he is a great, great RB) or under the radar (Russell Wilson).

They are definitely a team no one wants to play in the postseason. Even as a Falcons fan I can say that. But Ray Edwards showed NOTHING in Atlanta. If the move pans out for them, sure, it’ll look brilliant but it’s not as if the Falcons didn’t give him every opportunity to produce. I mean, he was playing on a line with John Abraham who, while in decline, is still a threat. All he was doing was collecting a paycheck.

Good luck Seahawks – sincerely. If Atlanta can’t get it done, I hope that y’all do.

Let’s start with: (1) Pete Carroll is a dirty college coach who ran to the NFL to avoid fines and suspension; (2) overly arrogant DBs who hold on every play and dope; and (3) a bunch of idiotic over-zealous fans who have been claiming in earnest that the team has been a super bowl contender every year since 1996 (the earliest I was exposed to that dumb ass fan base in full). I like Russell Wilson. He’s having a hell of a year but let’s not get carried away and say he’s been dominating defenses all year.

If Seattle takes the attitude that all you are taking, and overlooks their first round opponent, it’s not likely that they make it to Atlanta.
