Sorry to see that Ray won’t be playing on Sunday. Not quite what he used to be (aren’t we all), but still a leader who knows how to take care of business. Hope he’s ready for the playoffs!

One more thing worth mentioning about Ray.

Everyone of you idolize players on your respective teams. Understandable. That being said, I’d be willing to bet that you did not know that Ray Lewis mentors several players on EVERY single NFL team. Even some veterans who no longer play in the league. His impact goes beyond the Baltimore Ravens and spreads through the entire NFL.

Someone hurting, starving, stuggling. And what does he do? Helps them. Gives them a bite to eat. Gives them some spiritual guidance. Gives them motivation to pick themselves up and show the world that they can and will rise up. Every post-game he does this. Win or lose.

Now I ask everyone on here who thoroughly enjoys bashing Ray from one mistake he made over a decade ago (because we know all of you are so pure) and the fact that he’s getting up there in age (which never happens to any NFL player): what have you done for society? How many lives have you touched? What greater purpose have you served? And what good does it do for you to bash someone who is not only a presence on the field, but a HUGE presence in the community as well? That’s what I thought…

If the steelers had a quarter of the heart and drive of Ray Lewis, they’d be AFC North Champions right now. Instead they have a squad full of soft, selfish and lazy players and they’ll be sitting on the couch while the RAVENS are in the playoffs yet again.

Ray, you are the greatest ever. Hope to see you back on the field soon.

That’s incorrect. Technically Baltimore could win Sunday and NE could lose. If that happens, both teams would have the same record. The tie-breaker would go to Baltimore since they beat NE head-to-head earlier in the season. That would give Baltimore the third seed playing Cincy. At this point, the only AFC teams that are locked into their seeding are Cincy at 6 and Indy at 5. Everyone else is still up in the air as far as seeding goes. The team that will be in the AFC playoffs, however, are in fact locked.

If I’m not mistaken the 4 through 6 seeds in the AFC are already set, making the Ravens hosting the Colts a given at this point.
