Ravens running back Ray Rice won AFC player of the week honors, and he didn’t even have to convert a fourth-and-29 this time.

Rice had 158 combined yards in last week’s win over the Giants (107 rushing, 51 receiving), helping the Ravens to a season-high 533 yards. He won the award previously for his late-game heroics against the Chargers.

Of course, if the Ravens had used him properly this season, they might not have had to change coordinators, or slouch so dramatically prior to last week’s breakout game.
