Am I crazy for saying that Russel Wilson should be ranked over Luck and 2nd to RG3 if the Skins become division Champs? Otherwise I think the Skins not making the playoffs drops RG3 to 3rd with Russel taking ROY honors and Luck coming in 2nd.

RG3, Russel Wilson, Andrew Luck or Alfred Morris can have cases made for them as ROY. You really can’t go wrong. I’m partial to Redskins players but I’d trade ROY for another Superbowl victory. I imagine RG3 would prefer that hardware as well.

Russell Wilson has the # 1 defense in the nfl. He has not had a 300 yard game . Mark Sanchez would look mvp of the NFL like on Seahawks .Give this kid a 15 rank defense and he wouldn’t be in any conversations about Rookie of the Year or Playoffs. Short fields make it easier to score touchdowns.

Spiller gets snubbed again! Highest YPC ever with that many carries. Probably the most impressive of all the records and not even a mention! I feel so sorry for anyone drafted by the Bills. You can make history and nobody even notices, and you can’t even get into the lousy Pro Bowl. It would be funny if it wasn’t so depressing.

you can’t start playing the what if game. If you take away the INTs that were the WRs faults, you have to start taking away the TDs that should have been INTs if not for the WRs (see GB and the other Hail Mary TDs he has had this season)

You take away Russell Wilson’s INTs that were at the fault of the WRs and his QB rating is over RG3′s at this point. He’s probably thrown 5 picks that were actually HIS fault.

Russell Wilson has faced a harder schedule, and has a higher strength of victory as well.

Just another consideration, considering Luck faced the easiest schedule.

If you overcome substantial odds, should you automatically get ROY for that? Russell Wilson has been great and if there was an award for “Best Value for Money”, I’ll pick up. But RG3 has simply been great for the Redskins. Seattle has a top-5 defense while the Redskins & Colts have dreadful defenses.

However, we had a top defense and RB for the last two years and we where 7-9 both of those. Russell has in all likelyhood taken the team to 11-5. The Seahawks are now a real force in the league even with all the haters. I do like him for ROTY but I will understand if RG3 gets it. He had the more even year if you will. The Seahawks had Russell on a tight leash the first 5 games. It would be a run away if the play book was open those first 5 games. I do believe the following needs to happen for Russell to win it.

1. He breaks the TD record and increases his QB rating again this week.

2. Washington loses. If Washington does not make the playoffs then I think Russell should be a lock. (Not saying it is going to happen)

The rookie record for TD/INT differential is currently 14 by Dan Marino in 1983…

Passing records these days mean nothing. They are all falling and it is because of the rule changes. Just like the NFL saw a huge influx in passing stats in 1978 we are seeing it again today. I would take most of these records with a grain of salt.

tony romo is going to probably put up 2k yards passing against the deadskins, so we can go ahead and put a check next to that record being broke! and along with that record hell obviously throw the most TD’s in a game..and the fartskins will have the biggest collapse with the most overated #2 draft pick ever..stick with the subway commercials and give up on football!

MDS. You end by calling Peterson’s attempt “the big one”. Are you thinking that’s the best record of the bunch due to difficulty or are you just acknowledging that passing records in a pass first league are easier to reset than rushing records?
I think that it is def impressive since the leagues is set up to pass more often than ever before. But no offense to Peterson and Dickerson who are in the short list of best ever, but whenever you can beat the single undisputed best WR in a meaningful record, than that to me is at least as impressive if not more impressive than any other record. What Johnson is doing really needs to get more publicity b/c he is the only weapon they have and is still able to set records.

No doubt an impressive group of quarterbacks this year. I’d give my vote for offensive ROTY to RGIII based on his stat line. Expectations are irrelevant, production is what counts for an award like this, and I believe he produced more than the other guys. I’d give Wilson a close second place though. I don’t believe any non-QB is in the conversation this year.

While I’m at it, Adrian Peterson is my MVP if he gets his team into the playoffs (Andrew Luck otherwise). Peyton Manning is my come back player of the year. AD is not eligible for this award, he wasn’t away from the game long enough in my opinion. And Peyton isn’t given more consideration for MVP because his team won a playoff game a year ago with Tebow at the helm.

Defensive ROTY is a close call, but I give it to Janoris Jenkins.
