Being a fan of the chiefs has apparently skewed your perspective. Especially so regarding Vick. 64 combined TD’s against 29 INTs and 31 fumbles and an 18-15 record as a starter does not look “decent” to anybody but you.

I am just as tired of my fellow fans making air guitar statements as everyone here in Philly gets over Santa Claus statements. Let the air guitar thing go…it’s petty.

I have lived & died with this team since 1977. McNabb was the greatest QB in Eagle history. As good as our defense was in the early 2000′s, Donovan was a big part with no-talents like Pinkston & Freddie Mitchell why we were winning every year, going deep into the playoffs. As soon as he had a big time receiver, they went to the show. Marino failed in his only SB appearance as well. And Marino had Clayton & Duper. Did Donovan ever have 2 WR’s the class of the Mark’s brothers? And he didn’t compare himself to Marino, he made a comparison in regards to them sharing a fact. Neither one won a SB, that was it.

As for his passive/aggressive comments”, much of that was the way he was treated here. After the TO incident, I heard many many fellow fans trash McNabb any chance they got. McNabb has never gotten the credit he deserves for what he accomplished here.

Buddy Ryan & Vick are revered here, neither one of them did anywhere near what Reid & McNabb did for this team. You guys are riiiidiculous, if you guys wanna keep bringing up catty sh*t like the air guitar, McNabb has a right to gloat a little.

That guy would have started for 32 teams & while I am a Chiefs fan. I loved watching that guy play and would have given my left nut, to get that guy to the Chiefs.

They companied and cried about Kobb, until Andy was forced to put in Vick, cause Eagle fan wanted Vick to be the QB, even though he sucked at QB.

Andy KNEW he sucked and Andy played the guy who he knew was better – Kobb.

Then when Kobb was replaced with Vick, and people started whining again. Andy looked at them and never lost his cool. But he laughed to himself about their whining FOR vick and then getting EXACTLY what they asked for.

Andy has made every single decent QB look like a Hall of Famer. But, his best trick was making Vick look like a somewhat decent QB and should be named Coach of the Year for pulling that one off – because Vick is the crappiest QB this side of

It is stunning just how ignorant you are about Andy Reid. If you followed the team during his tenure you would know he never, EVER, listens to the fan base, for better or worse. That is why it is just ridiculous to claim that the Philly fans ran him out of town. Reid and Reid alone decided he was so washed up he would trade him within the division. By the way, if Eagles fans get the blame for all the failures of the team, then I guess they get all the credit for those 5 NFC title games, too, right? Sounds ridiculous when you put it that way, but it would be saying the same thing.

There is nothing wrong with what he said. You have to remember many times things like this are said casually – and then a reporter blows it up. Its not like this was said at a press conference as something he wanted to shout to the world.

Everyone needs to keep perspective.

Well, I must be a rocket scientist next to you on football because I’ve never seen a defense carry a team to division title after division title and championship games over a 10 year span. That Eagle defense must have been the ’85 Bears, or maybe you’re just an idiot like most Eagle fans who are more interested in slighting McNabb (even when he’s right like now) rather than realize the long dark extended stay your favorite team has ahead of it in the cellar once your best coach follows your best QB out of your franchise so you can get back to being the NFL punchline that you were before they got to town in ’99.

Btw, if that theory held true, what happened to the Ravens under Billick? That defense was head and shoulders better than the Eagles the entirety of Jim Johnson’s tenure. They should have been in the playoffs and at minimum, championship games every year, winning 90% of their games regardless of who was QB or whether he had receivers or not.

I understand that he never won the bowl and that he’s ultimately held accountable for that, and that’s fine. But, yes, there’s a comparison top Marino in that Marino never won one and never really came close after his rookie season, but Miami pretty much seems to have always respected him. McNabb’s numbers don’t match up to his, but they do pretty match up to Jim Kelly’s, who again never won one over many years in the same town, but is seen as an icon regardless.

I think what I’m really trying to say is, if you have to go to Vegas lines as an argument against a player, you’re simply digging way too deep and getting too carried away. It’s irrelevant.
