Newton clearly made a kicking motion at the 3 Raiders who were laying on him, trying to twist and jam up his knees. He shouldn’t have done it, but it was better than letting the Raider’s D linemen accomplish their goal of injuring his legs.

Just saw a picture of that play on csnbayarea.com, and Hardy’s helmet almost came out through Palmer’s chest. Not clean.

It looked clean to me, but I was told hardy hit Palmer with his hat, hence the fine. I thought Palmer pretty much asked for a rib rub by just standing there looking downfield instead of paying attention to his surroundings, but QBs get treated like queens these days. I know the flags on Kuechly and Burris were bogus.

Mike Mitchell was the Defensive player for the Raiders that tackled Cam slightly late and when the ref did not throw a flag for a late hit on the QB Cam jumped up and bumped the ref while screaming at him. Now, Let’s say the ref did throw a flag on Mitchell for a late hit and Mitchell was the one who jumped up and bumped the ref while screaming at him, Do you think Mike Mitchell would have been ejected from the game?

The answer without a doubt is YES. But because the bias NFL has a different set of rules for the “star” players,even in meaningless games,Cam was allowed to continue to play. What a joke!

Cam is silly, he will prove to be a headache.

He reminds me of Cutler, has talent, but he seems to get rattled emotionally.

I think he will take a similar path as Cutler has, he will do so-so for the Panthers, but when he can’t get them over the hump a team will try trading for him, Jets or Raiders perhaps?

I don’t like Deagelo Hall, but there needs to be consistency. Hall didn’t even touch the official and was ejected from the game. It sounds like Newton said some things similar to what Hall did and even bumped the official. He should have been kicked out of the game. Period. I didn’t realize there were exceptions to the rule of not contacting the officials.

Two ejectable offenses in one game and he is fined as much as Suh’s kick that could be proved to be intentional?

He really should be suspended for week 17. Missing the kick doesn’t take away the intent.
