@7transponder

If the Vikings make the playoffs, I agree, Peterson should win.

If they don’t, it should be Rodgers, not manning.

The broncos made the playoffs without him. Is he an upgrade? Sure. But I don’t think he is more valuable than Rodgers bogey have a great running game. The packers don’t.
-------------------------------------------------------

I cant agree more. If the Vikings make the post season AD should be a lock, but #12 is having about the best year on paper of any quarterback and the fact that his name isvnot in the conversation speaks for how poorly these awards are divvied out.

@dawgnme wth are you talking about? Manning should share with Peterson comeback player. Both are amazing stories. I had a torn acl and I wasnt able to jog until about 9 months after surgery. He is playing regular season NFL football 9 months later. Not only playing but has a shot at 2,000 yards and the all time single season rushing record. Peyton on the other hand, how many neck surgeries? Including an entire year off and signs with a new team. To play at a probowl possibly MVP level. Both stories deserve acknowledged.

It's easy not to talk when nobody wants to talk to you. Watt is the cat's meow right now - what do you want the kid to do? Ignore the media? Not grant interview requests? If Smith ever sniffed the type of season JJ is having, he'd be on the hot seat, too... but he hasn't... and he's not. For that matter, if you looked past the stat sheet amd actually watched a game, you'd have seen NE game plan for Watt - audibling way from his side, running 3 TE and 2 TB sets to chip Watt out of an existing double team. Dude was lucky to come out of the game without injury, let alone without stats.

Again, not close.

You clearly don't understand the MVP award. It's not all about stats (though that obviously enters into the conversation and should), it's about value, which isn't all stats, but about situations that they added value to their team. Considering his cast of characters this year on offense, AD far and away blows out the competition in terms of overall value.

@kiss the rings, you say that Having cassel was being prepared but having Flynn wasn't?

Look at the stats. Rodgers is having a better year than manning and Brady.

Again, not close.

I don’t get why Rodgers isn’t in the convo. take all these other canidated off the team and see where they’re at. Brady,Cassell. nuff said. manning, playoffs with tebow, nuff said. watt, oh please. the only other guy you can say the team would probably have a losing record besides Rodgers is AP.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lol what a pathetic argument. You forgot to say "Matt Flynn......enough said.

Brady should be penalized because the Pats actually were prepared if something should happen (oh yeah, they didn't make the playoffs that year also). Manning should be overlooked because the Tebow led team last year squeezed into the playoffs with an 8-8 record. both QBs are playing better than any other QBs in the league. Rogers is not in the conversation this year, sorry.

People on here are ridiculous. JJ Watt has always been known as a classy guy, from his frequent hospital visits, to his relationship with the Berry kids after they became orphans, to him randomly sending autographed gear to people on Twitter. But now he brings up how he wants to see a defensive player win it, and how he would like to represent the defense he now has a huge ego? Please. I'm not a Texans fan but I would die for him on my team. The dude is an athletic freak and as down to earth as they come.

Sorry JJ your a great player and having a good great year but your team is not winning just because of your defense. MVP is a player that a team has that is driving those wins home. If you where to be hurt your yeam can win. Without Payton Manning, All Day Peterson, or El Champion Rodgers, there teams will not win and not contending for a play off spot.

You people act like you wouldn't want him on your team. Statistically he's having the best year of any defensive player in history. 20.5 sacks, 15 passes defended - 5 of which turned into INTs, 35 TFLs, 4 FF, 2 FR, and if you watch the games you know that tons of his sacks are on third down. JJ Watt has earned respect so give it to him

First of all the broncos barely made the playoffs with a terrible offense and an 8 and 8 record with close wins. This year there probably 13 and 3 dominating people with young receivers (dts almost triple the yards he had last year and decker close to double and stokely has a job). Of all the great qbs peyton has the worst receiving core but makes them look good.

Id say if AP gets stopped this game with few yards and no win then peyton gets it. Anything else AP does
