We need to keep Mad Max on the roster. In addition to a long list of performance reasons, Max is also held in high regard by his teammates, especially his linemates and Ben. He is a good guy, is the opposite of a locker room cancer and essential moving forward.

And as for those two OTs we drafted, they’ve both been some place other than on the playing field for quite some time. In fact, we’ve lost major chunks of time out of Colon, Gilbert, DeCastro and Adams – not to mention minor amounts of time from other linemen.

We NEED to keep Max.

Not only is he done, all of their olinemen are done. It’s gonna take them a while to become relevant again. Many down years await you Pittsburgh. Cheers!

I don’t understand why the Steelers keep trying to replace Max. He was the best, most consistent Steelers O-lineman this year (yes, better than Maurkice “Why in the world am I in the Pro Bowl?” Pouncey). If the Steelers get rid of Starks, they’ll regret it.

Their O-line is already bad enough,if you move don’t keep Starks it will only get worse.

Hope they keep Max on. Great guy and a great player. He can teach the younger guys some things.

I hope they keep him. Gilbert is good, Adams will get better. Starks will be needed at some point in the season.

Max Starks is a truly class act, and a solid, dependable veteran…something the Steelers have been short on the past few years on that O-line.
To trust Adams and Gilbert to man the starting OT positions next year could be a mistake. Both have shown a certain lack of durability already. his team needs more certainty and consistency on that line, not potentially less.

I hope they are able to resign him and bring him back. If Max is indeed done, Thanks for your contributions, you helped bring the steelers 2 super bowl championships that fans will always remember.

Keep the man. Every year it seems like the Steelers think they are ready to move on or upgrade from Starks, yet every year he makes his way into the starting lineup and plays great football. It would be dumb not to sign him. He can play both left and right.

They would be crazy not to keep him around….price dependent of course. They cannot afford to keep getting Ben killed.
