Btw… I am so rooting for Seattle. I can’t stand the arrogance of the DC fans. You’ve been terrible for decades and now you have a star and all the sudden your the best team of all time?

About that Seahawks/Skins matchup…

Seattle may be playing some good ball right now, but the majority of it is at home. On the road they boast a 3-5 record, averaging a shade over 21 ppg on O. What makes it worse? Loses to Arizona, St Louis, Detroit, Miami and SF- only 1 of their 5 road loses to playoff teams. The others combine for a 23-40-1 record. Not exactly something worth bragging about.

About that Cincy/Houston matchup…

Houston has lost 2 straight games, BUT Cincy goes into Houston BARELY knocking off the Ravens backups. Most of the starters played 2 drives each for Baltimore. O drove once and stalled, D held Cincy to 11 yards in 2 drives. Backups came on and shut down their starters. Cincy pulled only Dalton for some reason at half time, and barely escaped. Ravens rested Lewis, Ngata, Suggs, Williams, Reed, Kruger, McPhee, Pollard, Flacco, Rice, Leach, Torrey Smith, Boldin, Birk, Dickson, Pitta, Yanda, Reid & KO. The only starter left in on O was Oher and he switched positions (RT to LT). D kept Cody, Ellerbe, Chykie Brown and Kemo in. That’s it. And Cincy BARELY won.

So before everyone jumps all over Cincy as walking into Houston and pulling out an easy win because their hot right now? Maybe want to rethink that.

I suppose it would be crazy to suggest that the game in the coldest city be the 1 pm Sunday game and that the night game be in the warmest city.

That being said… Any other year, I think Russell Wilson gets the ROY but it really as to go to RG3. And I hope he enjoys holding it while the Seahawks beat down Atlanta in 2 weeks!

The format for the games is based on the network choices and rotation.

For the game times (wildcard sunday, Divisional Sat/Sun & the Conference) CBS/Fox alternate every year.

For Wildcard weekend NBC has first and last choice, they get to choose their #1 game which is the Saturday late game (the other game in that conference goes to CBS/Fox by default), then the CBS/Fox gets to choose between the two games for their conference. The game that isn’t chosen becomes the Saturday early game by default.

For the divisional CBS/Fox get their choice of which team hosts each night, generally the late game (Saturday night/Sunday afternoon) is where the prime game will go.

Peterson is incredible. Combine that with Ponder having a great day passing and that team is tough to beat…

Still, I’m not sold that Ponder can keep playing at this level. I like the Packers chances.
