Panthers on their way to making Saints D all-time worst

In meaningless games, the only thing that makes it interesting sometimes is the tracking of oddball records.

And as they’ve stormed to a 10-0 lead, the Panthers are on the verge of making the Saints the worst defense of all time.

The Saints entered the game 281 yards from tying the 1981 Baltimore Colts (6,793) for the most allowed in league history.

Thanks to a 65-yard run by DeAngelo Williams, among others, the Panthers are up to 223 yards midway through the second quarter.
