I expect Tom Heckert to scooped up quickly as his only sin was finding himself working under Joe Banner in the change in ownership when Jimmy Haslam bought controlling interest of the Browns.

Joe Banner's rumored choice to replace Heckert is Mike Lombardi, from NFL network.

Holmgren and Heckert only got 3 years into their 5 year plan to rebuild the Browns roster via the draft, which they started in 2010.

Heaven help our Browns as Jimmy Haslam adds his name to the list of Browns owners who never finish anything....

A few weeks ago, I posted on here in regards to a certain Thurman Thomas tweet. Since then, I put on my journalistic cap, dug a little, and I've got some huge news for Bills fans regarding my "change in ownership" hypothesis.

Search "spinitreacts" for more info. This could be one of the biggest things to happen in Buffalo sports history. The article will be under the "popular this week" section of the blog.

The joke of it all is that Tom Modrak was run out of town in Philly after going 11 and 5. And a joke like Howie Roseman gets a pass. Scott pioli in KC has whiffed on 3 head coaches and still has a job. Judge people on their performance not how they suck up to the owner. Tannanbaum and Rex Ryan should be let go. Jacksonville needs to clean house also.

The Phins had a fairly successful season despite fair weather fans and critics claiming the Phins would be lucky to win 3 games this season.
My Giants missed the playoffs despite being a top 3 NFC team & probably better than any team the AFC has - AFC is garbage this year - therefore I can't wait for the next few weeks with all the coaching changes. I don't get joy out of someone losing their job - although I don't feel as bad for a coach or GM who has made millions of dollars while employed - but I find this Black Monday & the subsequent searches to be very interesting. I still have my Irish to root for next week as well. However, after that game all I have left is coach/GM firings & hirings, and the countdown to pitchers & catchers reporting for Spring Training in Port St. Lucie (Mets Pitchers & Catchers report in 43 days - January 11).

Agreed. Ireland should be on the list, and for some reason thought he was getting a steal in Tannehill (sp). Why not draft Seattle's guy? In the THIRD ROUND!
@ Pantsfree: the Dolphins just lost to the Pats 28-0. ZERO!!!! We are no where close to competing against the best teams in the league! Even if you're right that he has been in control for just 2 years, plenty of teams have turned things around in 2 years & become playoff teams.
By the way, Solia wasn't his draft pick, Bush didn't even rush for 1000 yards this year & wouldn't be a starting running back for most teams. Also, name me a draft pick of his that has made the pro bowl this year.

Those of you mentioning Jeff Ireland are either media sheep or Dolphin fans that have no understanding of reality.

Jeff Ireland has only had two years in charge, and he's done an excellent job of cleaning up Parcell's garbage. His two drafts have produced excellent results and re-signing Paul Soliai and trading for Reggie Bush were genius moves.

Also, not signing/trading for Matt Flynn, Kyle Orton, Alex Smith and all the QBs the uninformed pined for and now forget that they did was brilliant.

Keep Ireland he's green, like money.
