The Ravens have already clinched the AFC North, and while they could still get to the third seed, they know they’ll open the playoffs next week at home.
Because of that, they’re not expected to play running back Ray Rice today against the Bengals.
There’s nothing to be gained, so making sure any key parts are well-rested for next week, especially if they have any minor injuries which could use a little rest.

Don’t sleep on Bernard Pierce. Kid is very, very talented. Runs the ball hard.
There aren’t many Ray Rices in this game, but Pierce isn’t exactly a guy that the Bengals should sleep on either.
Big mo or not, the Ravens wouldn’t mind losing and locking up the 4 seed to play the colts rather than Bengals in wild card. No QB can withstand back to back weeks against the Bengals front four.
Bengals are gonna keep the momentum going. The Ravens will get beaten down and that will lead them to go 1 and done..Bengals will kill their fire
Bernard Pierce has this. That guy could start on a lot of team in the league, just so happens he’s behind Ray Rice and NOBODY would start over Ray Rice.
The Bungals avoided a blackout but I’ll bet all the fans look like empty orange seats today while the high temperature will be 25 degrees.
Both sides should just run the ball and treat it like the probowl and the refs should call no penalties. That way both teams get off the field with no injuries and the game is over in 2 hours.
One and done
Bengals D doesn’t sleep on anyone. Bring whoever on.
What if the Dolphins win today?
What if the Ravens meet NE in the playoffs?
What would you prefer: a little extra rest or a home game?
With the way we’ve been using him all season it won’t make any difference. The most expensive 2 down back in nfl history.
Ray rice off center for 1 yard. race rice off center for 2 yards. Punt.
Hopefully we’ll see a huge workload out of him playoffs!

Oh, the irony from a fan whose team isn’t even IN the playoffs. If I were a Steelers fan, I’d be more worried about my teams salary cap than what the two other teams from the AFC North are doing in the playoffs.
I thought they’d rested him enough the last 16 weeks.
Why rest him? He only has one more game once hey reach the playoffs?
I really can’t understand how a fan of another team who is home for the playoffs can talk smack about a team that a) one the division and b) is obviously in the playoffs and is a better team. I’m a Ravens fan but if my team was headed for the golf course I wouldn’t have jack to say. Why hate? I get the whole Ravens vs. Steelers rivalry but sometimes it gets way out of hand. Face it the Ravens may indeed be one and done but at least they put themselves in a position for a shot at the SB. Sorry that your feelings are hurt.
Even with all the injuries and resting a bunch of key players (Boldin, Yanda, Pollard, Ngata, Rice) the Ravens are giving the bungles all they can handle. It looks like the bungles, the red headed step child of the AFCN will be one and done in the playoffs yet again.
I don’t think a raven fan should complain about any teams fan giving crap to the raven fans. Check out any other thread and you will find raven trolls dishing crap everyday. Police your own and stop crying. A shot at the SB ….please…last four years have produced zip..nada…tee shirts.
wait are u serious. you are complaining about ravens fans trolling on other teams sites. you are a bigger moron than i thought
