The Seahawks didn’t rack up big numbers like in recent weeks. But they did enough.

Seahawks rookie quarterback Russell Wilson didn’t have the easiest day, but he was effective in a 20-13 win over the Rams. He finished 15-of-19 passing for 250 yards and a touchdown, and ran for the game-winning touchdown with 1:39 left.

It was tighter than they were accustomed to after winning four straight by a combined 173-47 count.

A late elude-the-rush move to find Golden Tate downfield was symbolic of what he did on the season, and what he had to do against a Rams pass-rush that finished with six sacks.

The Seahawks finished 11-5, and had already clinched a playoff berth. They’ll travel in the Wild Card round to the winner of tonight’s NFC East title game between Washington and Dallas.

For the Rams, a 7-8-1 finish wasn’t what they were hoping for, but it was five wins better than 2011, a solid showing in coach Jeff Fisher’s first season.
