In a move that will prompt plenty of speculation but perhaps lead to no specific answers (at least not for today), Jets owner Woody Johnson is not attending the regular-season finale at Buffalo.
Rich Cimini of ESPNNewYork.com writes that Johnson “rarely” misses a game, and that he has said nothing about the future of any of his key employees. Four years ago, the Johnson said G.M. Mike Tannenbaum and coach Eric Mangini would return for the 2009 season -- and Johnson fired Mangini immediately after the season ended.
It’s a virtual certainty that changes are coming to the Jets. As soon as Monday (or possibly tonight) we’ll begin to find out what they are.
