Kyle Shanahan was horrible til they got RG3. Gailey was the worst coach in the NFL by a mile.

The Bills need to totally change their organizational culture…it seems as though the rot that’s set in is almost acceptable at the top, and it filters down to the locker room…they need more former players involved than Kelly and Thurman (I think their message and presence has become stale)…mentalities need to be reversed and the deadwood needs to be cut loose…as to the answer – I think they’ll have to look outside the organization to find it..get someone as a football czar who isn’t afraid to think outside the box and be innovative…and for God’s sake, find a QB somewhere…

Please Please Please!!! Don’t hire Norv Turner!! Don’t hire a coordinator get a proven head coach this train is off the rails. We have a decent offensive line a very good possession receiver and a RB who has star potential. You have a few decent pieces on defense. With good coaching this line can be much better. Get a couple decent LBs and you can have a good D.

And the biggest thing Bills fans are forgetting is Byrd has to be resigned!!! Besides Kyle Williams he’s the only player on defense that has been a consistent big play guy for more than one season!!

You don’t want a coach already with a SB ring. If history & trends are any indicator, and I firmly believe they are, there has NEVER been a head coach who has won a Super Bowl with 2 teams. There have been numerous instances where a SB winning coach has gone to a new team on a big contract & he never reached the promised-land again. I honestly believe that is why Cowher & Gruden are still unemployed. Teams believe in trends & history, as I do. If Buffalo wants to win, they would be smart to hire a coach with a solid résumé, but one who hasn’t won a SB before.

I think his inability, or unwillingness, to make Spiller the main RB over Jackson despite Spiller having one of the best RB season’s in NFL history YPC-wise (6.5 YPC) sealed his fate.

Nothing against Gailey, but here’s a guy that gets hired to be fired. I don’t understand how he keeps getting coaching gigs. His resume doesn’t warrant keep getting second chances.

I thought Super Mario was supposed to take you to the promise land Buffalo? I remember how every Bills fan came out of the woodwork and started talking trash like they were a sure playoff team now that he signed. I also remember everyone saying that the D line is the best in football. 100 million dollars for a player that is not a game changer is absurd. Good luck with him and his cap charge in future years.

How do you root for two teams?

That’s like a cheap insurance policy in case one team sucks.

As a lifeline skins fan since 76 I don’t get it. I enjoyed the glory years and then dealt with absolute depression for the past 18+ but never did I say hey, I’m from the DMV so while the Skins are pitiful, i will pull for the ravens instead.

I’m not hating….I just bleed so much for one team, I’d feel like I was cheating them if I pulled in the slightest for another.

Anyway, as far as the Kyle chatter, I don’t see him leaving his RG3 fun when he has Dads gig lined up for him 2-3 years from now.

As a Buffalo Bills fan living in chicago, i am a fan of both the bills and bears!!!! Lovie Smith makes the most sense for Buffalo. He can transform that 4-3 defense in to a monster, and since Ron Rivera will probaly get the axe in Carolina he can join Lovie in Buffalo as defensive coordinator. They had many good years in Chicago together. I am so sick of my Buffalo Bills and Chicago Bears coming in 2nd to the Patriots and Packers every year!!!!!! The Bills and Bears are so talented in players.. I bleed Chicago and Buffalo Football, they have the best fans in the world!!! Go Bills and Bears !!!!!!

Bills should be a team a coach would want to coach. Young, some talent on the roster, easy to mold into the type of team of that coach would want, Ralph has shown a willingness to spend money. Just need a QB.

No solid coach is coming to the bills. As people have said they have no quarterback and even drafting one would take 2-3 years to do anything. I do like the Kyle Shannahan thought though

Stupid hire in the first place, along with Buddy Nix.

Bills should have stuck with Perry Fewell for at least a season after he took over. Gaily’s scheme changes didn’t play to the Bills strengths, and he managed to screw up their defense along the way, which had always been one of the few bright spots on the Bills.

My replacement for Gailey would be someone who has already had some success at the Head Coaching position, not an Offensive or Defensive Coordinator looking to move up. The Bills have done way too much of the moving up of Coaches. Offer Bill Cowher 5% ownership of the team and most GM options to get him here in Buffalo.
