Dirk Koetter’s dance card filling up fast

With the Falcons enjoying a bye week before they open the playoffs, one of their coaches has found a way to spend his down time.

According to Alex Marvez of, Falcons offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter is set to interview for vacancies with the Eagles, Chiefs and Browns.

Koetter has brought a bit of a spark to a Falcons offense that had plateaued, and his offensive credentials are solid.

How he fits into the Browns’ just-stated plan of hiring a powerful head coach doesn’t seem like a natural fit, but they do have some intriguing parts to work with. The Chiefs clearly need help with an offense that seems to have sufficient skill position players but no quarterback.

Ask the fine folks at Arizona Statue University how Dirk is as a head-of-anything.

I don’t know ….. He was an awful OC in Jacksonville.

How does this guys name come up before Bruce Arians. He should be the big fish for a team that wants to fix their offense.

Meh. I’d take a flyer on him. He was OC in JAX for awhile and that offense stunk last season.

Then he came to a Falcons team that already had the pieces on offense to be explosive. Kinda like Mike Mularkey last season.

    I say buyer beware.

    One trick pony!

I guess that means Mularkey can go back to ATL when he’s fired from JAX.

Name the last guy that led Arizona State to anything other than mediocrity.

Koetter seems like the type of guy who will end up in Buffalo. The Bills really know how to pick ’em.

Jeff Lurie just said that the Eagles had not yet contacted any coaches.

Well, we have Jamaal Charles…….and we have Jamaal Charles……and, well, we have Jamaal Charles. First post I see say DBowe gets a knuckle-sandwich! We have NO offense other than Charles. That’s why the Raiders, THE RAIDERS, shut us out and we scored 3 points yesterday v. an average DEN defense.

I’d wait on him because chances are the Falcons are going to be one and done again this year

Without Matt Ryan he wouldn’t have been so good.

The Chiefs do have Dwayne Bowe

This Chiefs fan is not excited by this. We don’t have Matt Ryan, Roddy White, Julio Jones, and Gonzo in KC. Of course he can get those guys to score points! I agree with the guy that said he’d rather take Arians. Can’t interview him yet though.
