If Gruden comes into San Diego he’ll light the fire and kick the tires. Phillip Rivers will unfold as one of the greatest QB’s, he still has three or four more good years left in the tank. Gruden is smart, he isn’t going to Cleveland because there’s no fighting chance for him to get off the ground, but San Diego is the best prospect because they can win now.

“Gruden won with Dungy’s team.” If this is the case then he still got a team to the SB cuz Calahan won the AFC championship “with Grudens team.” Gruden brought in Keenan, Jurevicious, and a bunch of other non-Dungy guys that season. Also, McKay left this team in cap hell for Gruden and Bruce. I’m sure Gruden would have loved to have free agents kike Drew Brees, Charles Woodson, Vincent Jackson, etc. Glaziers were cheap during Grudens years. Gruden had the Bucs scoring more points than ever his final year. The defense started to suck when Monte said he was leaving. Gruden is the man. All the haters in Tampa are the people still wearing Alstott jerseys listening to Steve Duemig.

As an Eagle fan I would rather see Cowher. He was a former Eagle linebacker, a proven winner, a guy who can handle players. He has a fierce attitude. Problem is, for any coach, who wants to take orders from Howie Rosen?

There is only 1 HC job he should consider. A team with a fairly solid defense in place. A team that has some top notch running backs. A team that already has a franchise QB under center. A team that needs a new #1 receiver and some help in the secondary and they are ready to win some ball games. Drum roll please.

The Panthers are the only choice.

Everyone who complains that he won the Super Bowl with Dungy’s team is neglecting that it’s the team he built that opposed them in said Super Bowl, and like to hear it or not, he DID get screwed on the Tuck Rule, if not for that call he could have won the ring that year and gone on (staying in Oakland, as Davis would never have let him go then) to win another 1 or 2 there. He is a solid coach, but I think he’d be better as a college coach. The “you owe me” attitude is slightly less in those ranks than in the NFL.

While coaching needs tweaked, they have assembled some good players.

Gruden won’t coach he is to scared like Mariuchi to fail after having some success before. Gruden will stay in the booth so he talk about his one year of success and. Complain about the “Tuck rule” he likes the booth and his FFCL SCHOOL

He says this every year. First it’s the college teams that he’s supposedly linked to, then it will be a bunch of pro teams, and next year he’ll still be doing MNF.
