Sean Payton would be out of job after two consecutives seasons at 7-9 and 8-8 before winning the superbowl

Dick Vermeil was 9-23 at Saint-Louis before winnig Superbowl

Tom Landry starts with 6 negatives seasons at Dallas

Belichick starts at 5-11 with New England

A shame that Denise Allen wasn’t fired by the Raiders. He took the team backwards. While it’s good to fire that incompetent fool of an offensive coordinator more heads should roll than that. Also fire that Reggie fool who somehow became the general manager, he doesn’t know squat about Raider football.

I was proud of the Raiders smartly playing for draft picks last Sunday, now we;ll get the number 3 pick in the upcoming draft, maybe they’ll pick some good players this time.

Is Rex Ryan safe for now, until a new GM is hired, or is he guaranteed to be back? The Jets will have a hard time finding a competent GM to replace Mr. T if a holdover head coach is forced on the new GM. It’s the worst kept secret in the NFL that Ryan isn’t liked amongst fellow coaches & front office personnel, aside from the Jets. The Jets need a complete change of culture there & I don’t see how a new GM will implement change without having the ability to hire his choice of coach to carry his culture to the players & staff. Not much is going to change with Rex coming back.
