The Bears and their fans need to be ready for rebuilding. I mean you can’t argue that Bears D didn’t strap up and play at an elite level every game. Did Lovie have GM duties? Great WR, QB, HB – No talent at another or WR slots, TE, offensive line couldn’t run block or pass protect.

It’s the darn O-Line and playcalling that has killed the Bears! If you go buy DorectTV and listen to the announcers professional overview of Jay Cutler to a man talks nothing but about his toughness…so before you hate get your facts right!

The only people that question Cutler’s toughness are people that don’t watch a Bears game on a regular basis. I agree with this guy, all of the announcers have praised his toughness. The only people who question it are the announcers on Sunday and Monday Night Football, who still bring up the NFC Championship game from years ago and his pouting on the sidelines. Seriously, the have a camera that follows him to the sideline after every play. No one cares about his productivity, they care about his emotions.

There should be an annual Head Coach draft. Only NON-Playoff teams can draft a new coach. Teams can protect their coach from being drafted by using their franchise tag on them. If a coach gets draft by a crappy team like the Browns or Chefs(intentional) too bad so sad.

I think the Bears will look back on this decision with a lot of regret. Smith has done a lot for Chicago and may just need a little more time to get them where they want to be. This is the kind of firing that usually comes back to bite an organization.

Ironic that the Jets are keeping Ryan, but the Bears are likely to get rid of Smith…

Nooooooooooooooooooo!!!!! On second thought, lovie hasn’t been a terrible coach, but his inability to put a competent offense on the field has kept him from being considered a great coach. I trust Phil E. for the moment and hope we get a coach that we can consider great.
