That team will be much better off once the get rid of Sanchez. I think they had swagger before, but the QB just collapsed them.

they need to get younger and re-tool on defense.

They have a lot of good personnel people, so it is on Mike Tannenbaum, and they could bounce back if they re-tool the defense carefully.

a) jacksonville wouldn’t want him to play the final year of his contract at $5 million. its not a terrible price for a top tier (when healthy) running back, plus they’ll gain a high compensatory draft choice in 2015 when he leaves via free agency.

b) mjd would want to sign a new deal or extension with the jaguars. he can still make $5 million next year, and then hit the open market in 2014.

it seems like a good deal for both sides that he plays next season with his current team, and then finds a new team the following offseason.

Would you want to waste precious, valuable time from your career as a premium NFL running back – riding the pine (faking injury) just to “stick it” to an organization that didn’t give you a new contract?

You’ve only got like 9 years maximum to be able to actually play … I doubt anyone would just toss one of them out the window in some sort of hissy fit.
