APThe Packers got a significant boost for Saturday night’s Wild Card rematch with the Vikings, as defensive back Charles Woodson has been cleared to come back from a broken collarbone.
Packers coach Mike McCarthy announced that this afternoon, but held off on an update on wide receiver Jordy Nelson until tomorrow, when they’re required to file an injury report.
Woodson hasn’t played since breaking his collarbone in October, and what was originally pegged as a six-week recovery has stretched to 10. But he said last week he hadn’t had any setbacks, just that the doctors were playing it safe with him in advance of the playoffs.

They wanted to make sure that his shoulder was strong enough so that he can get right back to holding and interfering on every single play……..and not get called for it.
I know it is hard to beat a team twice in a row…. but The Vikings and AP are a great story this year. I would love to see Leslie, Adrian and the rest of The Vikes knock The Packers off at Lambeau… I do not think The Pack is going that far this year anyways so it would be great to see The Vikes knock them out…
Honestly my gut tells me GB could have played last week but they probably figured they could beat MN without him. Clearly AP proved that otherwise, suddenly Woodson’s collarbone got a lot stronger in 6 days.
Single degree temps and a collarbone possibly still hurt? Um I would dive out of the way when u see A.P headed ur way!!!! Skol!!!
Im thinking the same thing. I suspect Cobb and Woodson were both ready but the Packers thought they’d take care of business, enjoy the bye, and be really healthy for the next home game. Petersen however had a different vision.
It’ll never heal.
I findit interesting that Pack fans are so confident about this game…
The Packers had help keeping the game close in Minnesota last week, and they had help winning a squeaker against the Vikings when the two teams played in Lambeau earlier in the year.
The Vikings have also been playing their best football of the year the last few weeks.
well the defense couldn’t be any worse with him in
This game will be known as the massacre at lambeau. Packers 55 – vikings 9.

You mean help, as in the refs giving wright a 40 yard catch that hit the ground?
Oh. Ok.
