You mean the QB history where he was the QB coach for a guy named Favre, and then with the Eagles drafted and molded a borderline HOFer and also made guys like A.J. Feeley, Kevin Kolb and various Detmers look like NFL quarterbacks before flipping some of them to other teams where their true talent level was discovered?

That QB history concerns you? Well, I guess you can always go dig up Bill Walsh.

As a Chiefs fan I’m not excited about Andy Reid either. Like others have said he probably needs to step a away for a year. Even if he doesn’t I’m not confident he’d be energized enough to give the Chiefs his best shot.

I don’t like retread head coaches. If I were a chiefs fan I would be pulling for an unknown untested diamond in the rough type. We know what Reid can do. I say give someone like. Horton a shot

Watching Andy on the sidelines personally I will echo what others have said , The man needs to take a break from football , spend time with his family and clear his mind. On the football side of things Arizona might be better denfesively than Eagles but mostly they have the same glaring problems bad quarterbacks , horrible offensive lines.

C’mon Alper – do you really think the Chiefs are letting the Cardinals purported interest in candidates dictate who the Chiefs have interest in? Do you actually think before you write this stuff? So it’s your view that the Chiefs had no interest in a coach went to the NFC Championship game in 5 of those years, until he was rumored to be close to a deal with the Cardinals? Right…

Since Jim Johnson passed away and doesn’t run the defense Reid has been 33-33 with horrific defenses. Since 04’ Superbowl loss against New England he’s 66-61… a .500 coach….but wait wait….the geniuses at ESPN all praise Andy Reid…Adam Schefter says he is legendary. Um legendary you need to win at least 1 or 2 superbowls….. Listen to a diehard Eagles fan that has watched every game of the Andy Reid era, what you are getting is a man incapable of evaluating talent…. You show me 10 players TEN in 14 years that were drafted from 1st-3rd round by him that were successful good players in the NFL…you can’t count 10 I gurantee it. You’ll also see his horrible clock management and lack of in game adjustments… You’ll see it trust me and when fans especially Philly fans are told we don’t know anything and we boo for no reason…I just gave you the reasons why.

I know this will get a lot of thumbs down but Reid is not a good father. His two sons were heavily addicted to drugs and he never lived up to be the father figure they needed. Instead Reid focused his time and energy on toubled football players and developed a “father/son” relationship with his QB’s rather then his own kids. Only a harsh, greedy, and self absorbed business man would choose work over family. His kid died and he didn’t even bother to take any time off? The eagles literally forced him to take sometime off to grieve. I think he needs to re-evaluate his life and life decisions. Because by the time he looks back and realizes he failed his family it will be too late.

Mostly because he was FORCED to by the media and Kiladelphie fans whining for Vick Vick Vick – well be careful what you wish for — they ran Kolb out of town and he floundered same w Mcnabb.

Ive been saying since week 6 Bring in Andy Reid when he gets fired.

Lets go Andy, hell you could make Matt Cassell into a legit starter.

Jamaal Charles may not run as much but he’ll still be involved in almost every play. Reid seems like a good fit almost anywhere he goes. It was just time for a change here in Philadelphia. #Obama

For Andy Reid’s sake.. I hope they do NOT give him total control like Philly did.

I think he lost some of his objectivity because he was stretched too thin.

I think he’d be better off as just a HC.

HC/GM combination rarely, very rarely, works.

Im just saying…everyone should be careful what they wish for with Reid. His star has been falling since 2004. One extended playoff run since 2004. Hes 24-42 overall career vs playoff caliber teams. Hes a great guy but he lost his imaginative ways a long time ago.

Great coach with good records but just couldn’t get over the hump. That said, as a Chiefs fan I’d take 10 years of competitive teams over this sub .500 crap we’ve been reduced to.
