Vikings kicker Blair Walsh keeps not missing, so he keeps winning awards.

The rookie was named NFC special teams player of the month for December.

He was actually 11-of-12 on field goals for the month, but hit all five attempts from 50 yards or longer. For the season, he’s 10-of-10 from long-range, a league record.

Three of those came at St. Louis on Dec. 16, a single-game record for field goals of 50 yards or longer.

While many teams are hesitant to draft kickers, or trust young ones, Walsh has been well worth the investment of a sixth-rounder.
