It would be difficult to find a better season for a kicker in NFL history. Gary Anderson made all his field goal attempts in 1998 but missed a big one in the playoffs. I hope Walsh gets a chance to kick a game winner in the playoffs, perhaps in Atlanta?

This was really a genius pick by Spielman. When you think about it, having an elite kicker can be the difference between a win and a loss probably three or four times per season.

After I saw his stats from his senior year at Georgia, I was scratching my head. As a Vikings fan, I’ve never been more thrilled to be wrong.

Some questioned taking a kicker in the 6th round. He was a steal… not just for his FG and 50+ FG %, but also all the touchbacks…

I thought I would never say this about a kicker, but Walsh has been a beast!

Between him and Zuerlein, I don’t know who is going to be better in the long run but their respective teams won’t have problems at kicker for the next decade.
