Yeah….this makes sense. Because the worst team in the league is your best chance to win? Probably not, but more likely the worst team in the league is your best chance to make more money, and to make more personnel decisions and you can pick and chose the players you want…like madden. You know…because that worked last time.

Am I the only that thinks it’s funny that his resume is bashed yet Cowher is held up like he’s Noll,Landry or Walsh he’s basically got the same resume with the added 1 win of course but in my mind he lost that one too didn’t he Bill Leavey wink wink…….Both are overrated

I disagree. Under Reid the Eagles were perennial SB contenders for much of his tenure there. Heck, some “experts” thought they would reach the SB this season and last. I understand the pressure he got from coaching in Philly — BTW, win something first — But his resume speaks for itelf.

Yea, JJ’s death had a ton to do with the lack of Eagles success. But so did losing Brian Dawkins. They still haven’t found an adequate replacement for him.

And, if he does go to KC, he already has the talent on defense, so he won’t have to worry about that! He’s won games with Kolb, Feeley, Jeff Garcia, even Koy Detmer! He could do wonders with whoever the next QB is.

One SB appearance in 14 years is not great coaching considering the talent many of his teams had. The Vick Era is the definition of Reid’s coaching problems. Jim Johnson was the reason the Eagles had success and when he died, the success died too.

Unless Reid is on ego reducing medication, he is going to take the same problems with him wherever he goes.

Take away the last couple seasons (Vick era if you will) and look at his whole body of work.

– 5 NFC title appearances with 1 SB appearance
– 9 of those 14 years he won 10+ games
– Got Teams to trade for Kevin Kolb, A.J. Feeley, and Donovan McNabb

How many current HC have that kind of resume?

Revenge for what? For them paying him millions of dollars a year for making decisions like naming Juan Castillo defensive coordinator, hiring Jim Washburn to implement the disasterous Wide-9, for abandoning the running game early each game and having Mike Vick sling it up 40 or even 50 or more times a game, and for getting Vick killed with the play calling? I could go on and on. I knew the media would forget all of Reid’s shortcomings by next season, and the Eagles’ haters would never let the facts get in their way, but I cannot believe the season ended 4 days ago and people are acting like Reid’s last few years never happened.

The attraction is lost on me.

Reid just spent the past 14 years not winning a Super Bowl where he was.

If I’m the Chiefs and Clark Hunt and he’s going to change the structure of his organization the way he plans, I would hire a first time coach whether it’s a coordinator or a college coach and start from square one.

I’m surprised there hasn’t been a comparative roster analysis done here between the Chiefs and Cards. Both teams have some talent but in the end it’s all about the quarterback. Looks like both teams need a new one and KC has the edge via the draft with a higher first round pick.

Reid is a 60+% pass oriented coach.

Why go to a team (KC) with no WR’s & no QB with the 1st overall pick in a QB light draft?

Versus going to a team (ARI) that has one of the best WR’s in the game, a solid D, and a QB away from being a contender?
