When head coaches get fired, their assistants are left to their own devices.
But rather than wait for NFL jobs to get filled to try his luck, former Chargers special teams coach Rich Bisaccia just took a job at Auburn.
Bisaccia was named assistant head coach, running backs and special teams coach (and hopefully he got a salary for each title), according to Charles Goldberg of AL.com.
Bisaccia was the Buccaneers special teams coach from 2002-10, carrying an associate head coach title there as well.
He has some college experience, but guys with his kind of resume usually have chances to stay in the NFL if they want.
