Harbaugh played and won with house money doing this with his QBs earlier this season so IMHO in his mind it’s no big deal with to do it with kickers. Probably his only regret is having to take up an extra roster slots to do this.

If it’s 4th and 3 with less than a min left, and the 49ers are down 3 points and have to make a 45+ yard field goal, I’d rather they just go for it (as a fan).

If Nedney had any cartilage left in his knee he would have been one of the guys trying out. Niners fans loved Nedney because his big time kicks were the only reason our team didn’t get shut out. Don’t miss those days at all.

I don’t know why Aikers has been so inconsistent this year but making a change now especially for a kicker who has missed before in big moments is folly.

Hope they both make each other doubt themselves so no matter who gets picked, they fail to make the big kick against the Seahawks! (This assumes the Hawks get to play SF) If the Hawks don’t play them, then, I wish them well…….
