Yeah Rev, the Rams just lit the 9ers defense up. 26-26 and 16-13. That’s what you call a beat down. Save for Seattle and NE, nobody has hung more than 26 points on this defense this year. In fact they held their opponents to 13 points or less 8 times. 21 points or less 12 times. 26 points or less 14 times. Sounds like they’re just missing a key player.

A loss isn’t inherently a bad game. They played fine against the Rams, and the Giants, and the Seahawks the first time. Alex Smith lost the Giants game, and Akers lost both the rams games. The Vikings game was mostly on the D as was the second Seahawk game.

Its great to see him back out there. As much as defense is a team concept, he does so much to make the other guys stand out. Glad he is getting national recognition for his dominance, now lets hope he can cowboy up and lead us to the promise land!

The happiest person in the world to learn this is Aldon Smith.

Aldon was right on the cusp of breaking the single-season sack record, then Justin Smith goes down to injury with 3 weeks to go in the regular season.

Aldon then was shut out in terms of sacks to end the season, even though he had a game against one of the NFL’s worst offensive lines (the Cardinals).

The 49′ers (and Aldon Smith in particular) are going to need Justin Smith to be effective rushing the passer without blitzing.

49ers defence almost did a 180 when he went out…. The 2nd quarter against the Patriots and the game against the Seahawks had them looking terrible.

Really need him back for the playoffs.
