APThe Jaguars have already interviewed two candidates, with a third on deck, but they’re not rushing through the process.
A league source told Ryan O’Halloran of the Florida Times-Union that owner Shad Khan’s decision isn’t expected “until next week at the earliest.”
The Jags have already interviewed Falcons director of player personnel David Caldwell and Tom Gamble, who has the same title with the 49ers.
The next will be Giants director of college scouting Marc Ross, who is also on the list of the Panthers, Chargers and Jets.
Both Caldwell and Gamble have multiple opportunities as well.
Getting all those interviews scheduled creates a natural lag, and with playoff games coming this weekend, it’s hard to imagine anything coming in the next few days.

Geraldo Rivera laughs at that mustache.
Yesuuur! That’s the face of the guy I want running my team!
Marc Ross would be smart to either stay with NYG or move to Florida.
Two pretty good options.
As a giants fan, the jaguars would potentially snag a gem if they hire Ross. He is Reese’s right hand man and he evaluates talent extremely well. If you look at the giants success since Reese took over, it’s been in the draft and he’s found diamonds in mid to late rounds. You can thank Ross for some of that.
Personally, I am hoping for Gamble.
Please get someone from a winning organization!
My preference…Ross first, then Gamble…Really nothing about either one…just looking at their background and who they have worked for recently.
…but, it being the Jags, we will probably get neither.
If a team is going to screw up, it will be the Jags. Looks like I’ll still be waiting for professional football in JAX.
