Will Kelly’s “System” work in the NFL?

Chip’s main system is getting 18 year olds who are three times faster or more talented than the other team to join up so they can wear the sick Nike gear that Oregon gives away. Then you play a fast offense and just outscore everybody because they are out of shape from the week-end frat parties.

Yeah, pretty all that should work in the NFL…….

It would be interesting to see “da Bronze” (Pittsburghese, sorry) return to relevance. Kelly could get Tebow and let Tebow run his health into the ground while Kelly rebuilds the team with real players. Should take about 2 seasons.

Hey Steeler fan,

a) The bandwagon sure did hit a speed bump on the way to the “big can of ketchup” on 12/30. It seems like about 25,000 paying fans fell off in the incident. Nice effort there…way to support.

b) Now we all know that Steeler Nation doesn’t really travel well at all. Most people have just already left Pittsburgh and go act like idiots in other peoples’ stadiums when their former city’s team shows up.

c) Some “diehard” fans you are. Despite the challenges the Browns franchise has faced over the years we fought to keep our team when it was ripped out from under us, fought to keep our colors after the NFL allowed it to move and have continued to support our team through miserable seasons and constant regime changes since they came back in 199. You can’t even fill your stadium after being eliminated from playoff contention. Don’t ever talk to me about being “diehard fans”. That’s a joke. Loud and proud in the good times…absent in the bad. Sounds kinda like my ex wife…

Chip Kelly has potential to be a good coach, but nobody can win with a team that has Brandon Weeden on the roster. Even if he’s only the backup, Weeden’s pathetic hangdog face and general awfulness can infect an entire franchise. Plus, he’ll be 30 next year and is already a lost cause. The Browns can make a step forward by hiring a new coach, but they’ll never compete until Weeden is forcibly removed from Cleveland.

For a Browns fan, whenever the Steelers don’t make the playoffs, it is their way of winning the Super Bowl. How sad it must be. Bringing up championships whenever there was 12 teams in existence, and I’m sure you must’ve really enjoyed those championships, ya know, considering probably about 10% of you were alive for them. I don’t even dislike Cleveland fans, I actually have pity for you all.

I don’t understand why it was reported as a done deal with Cleveland before he even met with other teams. Why wouldn’t he want to listen to all offers before deciding? What pull does Cleveland have that he would give them the right of first refusal? Just doesn’t make sense. And you figure if it was a done deal with Cleveland that he would just cancel the rest of his interviews, like Andy Reid did.

I think agents are floating a lot of things out there and causing some reporters to jump the gun. Andy Reid’s agent had him going to Dallas a month ago, then it was a”95% done deal” with Arizona, when in fact he hadn’t even (and never did) meet with Arizona. It’s all propaganda until the deal is signed. These agents are playing us all for fools.

Hire NFL legend Monte Kiffin, he held Kelly to 62 PTs, 730 yards and 37 first downs. Of course Monte had superior talent. LOL

Kelly may be good or he may not, but those claiming to know in advance just sound foolish. Every single candidate has flaws. Every single one. Cowher? He’s been out so long and already achieved a great deal, would he still have the fire? Same exact deal with Gruden, plus the fact that he is notoriously bad with young rosters. Saban? doesnt want to leave and flamed out in miami. I could go on for every potential name, big and otherwise.

So please stop acting like Kelly, or whomever, is a ridiculous idea. There really aren’t any slam dunk hires, this year or any other.

No matter who is hired they need to change their look. I wouldn’t say go as wild as Oregon is, but change is good. And don’t expect playoffs the first year. Going to majorly overhaul the offense before they look like 10% of the Ducks.
