I like Jay Gruden he has NFL experience which he took the Bengals to the playoffs in 2 consecutive years as the OC. Plus he has a SB ring under his brother as the assistant head coach in Tampa. But I would take Kyle Shanahan over Jay, his offensive scheme for the game is crazy. Plus what he’s doing with RG3 and Alfred Morris as rookies, he can do with Foles and McCoy.

KC fans applaud when their own player gets hurt. But it’s always only Philly that gets talked about in the vain.

Also Chip Kelly is not in Philly today. Philly management went to Arizona to meet with him today before he goes back to Cleveland for another meeting.

And I agree we need a good OC but we need an even better DC so hopefully who ever ends up our head coach can put together a staff that meets our teams needs.

I love these kelly fans. Do you understand pro football?? Do you see his players in the nfl?? Chip kelly will be a disaster in this league and I can’t wait to see the browns crying as he fails miserably. Eagles not once expressed interest and never scheduled a meet. Pft just links everyone to everything so they look like they saw it coming. It’s a joke. Eagles will sign McCoy or someone that you’ve never heard of. Watch.

I love Jay in Cinci and would hate to loose him…

I do not think he is ready to be a HC in the NFL.
These Coords need a few years handling and learning their business before jumping to the Captains chair. Like others have posted.. This rarely ever works..

And really our DC is much more serving as a HC..

Nice consolation prize! If you do not think the Eagles wanted Kelly you are nuts. They are not going to admit to getting punked by their former employee(Banner) which is exactly what happened.

If they were as interested as the media wanted us to believe you would have thought they would have scheduled an interview before Saturday. The fact that they met with, and continue to meet other candidates before him, and after him, tells me all the Kelly to Philly reports come from agents trying to leverage their clients worth. Cleveland seems to be the only truly interested party.

I think these teams are doing it all wrong.

If I were running a team right now, I would be looking for a head coach from the Defensive side of the ball. Why?

One of the best offensive coordinators ever in the NFL is available and is NOT going to get a head coaching job. Norv Turner is a great OC, but a terrible HC.

So instead of taking a flier on a college coach who specializes in the offensive flavor of the day, hire a lock down defensive coach and bring in Turner to coach the offense.

Funny the best coaching prospect out there is Mike Zimmer, Bengals DC but he is continually overlooked because of his outspoken nature and “colorful” vocabulary. These owners/GMs would rather have their butts kissed than win.

I don’t get the hype over Jay Gruden. The Bengal offense has folded 2 years in a row at the end of the year when they were needed most. The Gruden the Eagles should be after is Jon. Settling for jay gruden is like settling for the ugly sister with the hot body, while your best friend moves in and takes the Hot sister with the hot body away from you.
