According to a quick Google search, gpack22 did not post in a Vikings or Packers story since 12/21. Just ignore hypocrites, they’re not worth it.

I’m sure some will, but in all honesty, if the Vikings win, I’ll be cheering for them to take it all. Peterson deserves at least one.

Funny how Packers fans think their team is the best. You guys will lose.

We don’t think they are the best as much as we think–no, we know– that the Packers are better than the Vikings.

It all has to be proven on the field, however. The Vikings can play well enough to win.

Where were you last week?

Before this year, I’d have said that you were right on James Jones.

This year, however, he has made ridiculous catches and has had minimal drops, which plagued his early career.

Assuming the packers run at least three receiver sets the majority of the time (which they do), Jones is one of our starters. He may be 3 on the depth chart, but Randall Cobb is 4, and if your 4th receiver is Randall Cobb, with the year he is having, you know your squad is pretty deep.

You said that the Vikings aren’t afraid of the Packers wideouts. I guess I would agree. I don’t know that any wideouts scare any defenses. Calvin Johnson, maybe?

Jennings is at his best in the slot, and only when you have line runners and speedsters like jones and Nelson on the outside. Same with Cobb. Throw Finley into the mix (if he can continue to just catch the ball), and you have an passing attack 2nd to none.

You give most of the kudos to Rodgers, and to some extent, I’d agree. But many of those routes (back shoulder, especially) take precision timing. Rodgers has shown that he can make lots of receivers look great, but at the same time, it’s almost impossible to tell how good they are until they play with someone else, and I’m not anxious to find out.

Randall Cobb is good but looked better in the ABSENCE of Jennings. Speaking of Jennings, he will be a member of the Vikings next year (seems all the good Packers leave to go to the Purple), but he will def be a factor tonight. And Mr. James Jones is nothing more than a #3 WR on any team in the league (hence the reason he’s been buried on the depth chart behind something called Jordy Nelson). Rodgers is unbelievable and he makes those receivers better than they actually are with the exception of Jennings, who is just a flat out baller. I doubt the WR’s strike much fear in the Vikings secondary, though Rodgers does.

James Jones is nothing more than a number 3? He has 4 less TD receptions than Ponder has TD passes. Jordy Nelson missed 4 entire games and the majority of two others and still had 7 TDs. Let’s not be delusional. There is not a team in the league that can legitimately say their receiving corps is deeper and more talented than GBs.

No delusions here, just stating the obvious. I’m indifferent to both teams since neither will win the SB, so I’m playing no favorites. This thread isn’t about Ponder, he’s average at best. It’s about the GB WR’s. James Jones has been BURIED on the Pack depth chart for 5 or 6 years now. if he hasnt developed in to a starter yet, then he never will. Am i right or wrong? Jordy Nelson is a straight line runner who lacks lateral movement, not to mention he’s NEVER healthy which last I checked plays a large part in “how good” a player can be considered to be (all the greats have historically remained healthy or been able to play relatively well through pain). Again, am i right or wrong? I do agree its hard to find a receiving corps whose talent runs as deep as GB’s, but I never stated they werent talented, just that i dont think they strike fear in the Vikings secondary. The Pack scored 21 in the first game and 34 in the second game. Jennings played great in the second , but where were any of those great WR’s in the first game? oh thats right, they were injured. See my first point above. You Packer fans are so sensitive in titletown, calm down. Thats why the play the game, cuz nothing is won on paper.
